"1st Annual OTT, PNW, BBQ and Kubota Games" 7/15/2017

Reason I ask is that I have some duplicate machining tools, accessories, & such that I'd bring for door prizes or whatever if anyone had the need or interest. (5C collets, 5C collet holder, B&S height stand/scriber, Lufkin depth mike, no name 1"-2" mike, no name 5" sine bar, small hole gages...

Just grabbed some readings (in direct sun) with my infrared thermometer: white aluminum siding on 5th wheel, 147F concrete sidewalk, 129F rusty/black portable fire pit, 154F white frame of 10'x6' utility trailer, 134F black plastic pallet, 157F gray slump block wall, 131F Which highlights my...

CaveCreekRay's area is about 1000' higher than most of the Phoenix area; doesn't seem like much, but it's enough to keep him a few degrees cooler, plus they've got some mountain terrain that help with some wind action.

I am so looking forward to this. We have been so stressed lately that a trip out of town to stay in Wally World parking lots would be an improvement; but a trip to the Coeur d'Alene area, with new friends, camping, dogs & wolves, food, fire pits, and Kubotas... well, how can it get any better?:D

Might be a few days past my planned excursion to your neck of the woods, but we will see what we can do.:) As we get closer to launch date, I'll be in touch. I have a delivery to make to NIW first.

How Do I Adjust Hydraulic Pressure?

Can't help with your problem & questions, but I whole-heartedly agree with this:

When faced with a job like that, I often chuck a piece of stock in the 3 jaw, turn it for a tight slip fit on the ID of the spline, and use a cap screw with a heavy washer tapped into the arbor as a fixture. Glad you have a second solution on tap. For checking RPM, my good tach was stolen a few...

Yooper & Tooljunkie have nailed it. Here is a calculator that makes finding rpm pretty easy. Plug in motor rpm, driving pulley size, driven pulley size, & calculate for rpm. Then use that rpm for the next shaft, enter pulley sizes, etc until you get to the spindle rpm...

Well, that shouldn't be happening. What rpm & tool? Maybe a pic of the setup & machine?

    Pressure Washer Choice?

I bought one similar to this as a one-shot throwaway to pressure wash my B670 before rebuilding; on sale it was $89. That was about six years ago- it just keeps running. Wand has 3 indexable tips (wide, narrow, pinpoint) and it works well enough for my uses. Mine develops 1400psi. I drool at...

Bad luck with tires and repair questions

Slime sounds like your best, cheapest bet. That harbor freight tire mounting tool won't even begin to budge a tractor tire. (I have one for ATV tires) Three different tire shops with standard tire machines had trouble with my tractor tires. Had to go to a shop that specialized in heavy...

I doubt at tractor performance levels you could ever tell the difference between turned & un-turned, in either performance or longevity. Now, would I turn them to cleanup? Yes, but I have the capability, and as a former toolmaker, the perfectionist in me would win out over common sense.:D
