Ideas for improving cutting edge on B2782B front mount snowblower

I have a BX so no position control on the 3pt but I'd want it when the snow was packed down so I assume id have to have it all the way down dragging on the pavement to scrape up the ice/snow. I've seen those ones with adjustable attack angle, that would be on my wish list, which only seems to...

Ideas for improving cutting edge on B2782B front mount snowblower

I've been considering getting a rear blade but wondered if there would be enough weight to make it effective and also would it damage driveway (asphalt). It's true blower has a hard time with ice or hard packed snow.

    Snowblower help

Is it actually affecting it throwing snow? Reason I ask is I started getting a clicking sound, but didn't affect it throwing snow so I checked manual then checked chain drive, the chain was making noise because I had not tightened it. Manual lists the flex allowed in the chain.

    BX 1880

Feeling was a bit jerky at first but you get used to it. The loader control stick works by opening valves. The further from center you move the stick, the more fluid is allowed to flow. The faster the flow the faster the implement moves. So as said in earlier post, move the stick gently, in...

    BX 1880

BX1880 here, I have both loader and front snow blower. Definitely has float. Push loader control stick all the way forward until it "clicks". This is the way the blower was meant to be used. It should ride on the skids. I typically pick it up a little when backing up any significant distance...

Drive Shaft - BX2816 50" front snow blower

Thanks Jay that's interesting. I wonder what drives the choice between the classic clip retainers vs those others. Just a pure price thing? The mower deck will operate through a wider angle range though I try to remember to lower the deck before spinning it up and disengage before raising all...

Drive Shaft - BX2816 50" front snow blower

For comparison purpose here is the u-joint from my mowing deck, also bought June 2018. Here you can see the retention clip straight up, this is true for both sides of both halves of the joint. So I guess it's possible they all fell out but that seems unlikely

Drive Shaft - BX2816 50" front snow blower

I have the Kubota front blower I bought it in June of 2018 with the tractor. Not sure if this helps but I'll attach a picture of the u-joints on the front pro shaft. I just happen to be putting this thing on the tractor while I saw this thread so I figured I'll grab a pic. Im no expert on how...

    Important KTAC Insurance Update

So to the OP.. interesting that this was a change for you especially on older tractor. I didn't finance mine through Kubota (in 2018) and so I could not get a full replacement policy, only the cash value. Im going to get our my documents and check, but I'm pretty sure mine has always been the...

    BX with a Bagger Issues

Sounds like you got the answer, but just to confirm, as an owner here of this setup. When you bought the bagger should have received L brackets bolted on that are stationary to connect the 3pt lift arms to. You should also have two adjustable length pto lift arms (turnbuckles) instead of one...

    Soft Cab

I have the original tractor cab for my BX1880. It came with a ceramic electric heater but I've never seen the need to hook it up. I just wear a jacket and gloves blowing snow and it's just wonderful not to get blasted with blowing snow or sleet and freezing rain. It doesn't fog up for me at all...

    Swift Tach Loader Removal??

I have a BX. Assuming geometry is the same with the loader. I take mine on and off weekly, every time I mow. My number one suggestion is, do it on a FLAT surface, if at all possible. If not, and one side of bucket touches first, shim underneath the other side with a piece of plywood or...

    carbide coated mower blade search

I have the 48 in deck. Diagram in the manual also shows cup washers. But in fact they aren't actually there on the machine. I've had it for 3years so far so good without them. I am sure the blades aren't slipping during use because I can see how clean it is on the spindle caps under the blades...
