    Snowblower Gravel adapter

I’ve added 2” wide flat steel to the existing shoes to make them wider and float better. Some of the narrow shoes just dig into the gravel and allow the blower to scrape the gravel into the impeller. But I think this idea if the pipe is great. It seams like it will push the gravel down and...

    Led lighting question

Thank you for your input. I had thought about this as well, being these leds are rated from 9-30 volts. But, I assumed there were resistors built into the leds that would compensate for different input and not allow greater wattage. I assumed the actual leds received the same amount power...

    4760 snowblower

Your 4760 is at 39 pto hp while my 4240 is at 35 pto hp. I use a l2195 6 foot blower, and I feel like I could handle more, but if snow depths are over a foot of wetter heavy snow, I can only travel about 1-1.5 mph. ( to keep spillover to a minimum) If you had an extra foot of clearing, I...

    Led lighting question

For anyone following, I have the led lights installed and they are flat out amazing. They have a very wide pattern and shine much further than the factory cab lights. Being the spot/flood combination, they work really well for my applications. These ended up pulling 36 watts each (3 amps) @ 12...

    Tips for removing Hyd filter.

Like D2Cat suggested. That is the only thing I could remove my filter with. Just don't use it to put it back on. :) it will crush the filter talking it off.

Small Magnetic Battery-Powered Lights for Implements?

Have you thought about using a good quality rechargeable light such as DeWalt or Milwaukee work lights? You could purchase a ceramic cup magnet to hold it on. they are basically a steel cup with magnet internally that usually will have a mounting hole that you can use a bolt through. Neodymium...

    Led lighting question

Thank you for the replys. While I am completely satisfied with the light output, my only real concern is if I didn't measure the actual amp draw, I would have used the information given from the light manufacturer. So if I fused the system for the calculated 10 amp per light and had 4 lights...

    Led lighting question

So realizing the factory cab lights do not shine where I want them, I have ordered a set of led replacements. I‘ve used quite a few different pods and bars on sidexsides and boats over the past few years. But this is the first time using them for a tractor and discovered something a little odd...

L4060 HSTC and L4760 HSTC Differences?

This is interesting. Looks like about a 5 thousand dollar price increase. The only thing I found were the front axle, radiator and the stay e/g ecu were different. So you may be right and they just increase timing to increase power. Maybe more heat from increased timing could explain a different...

    HST shudder. Transmission problems?

Thank you for your input. You were correct right from the start. I dont believe a rep has been involved as the tractor is a 2008. It was used for snow blowing and mowing, mainly pto work. The previous owner had a mile long driveway so it’s possible the previous owner may have been blowing...

    HST shudder. Transmission problems?

Thanks for the reply. It did have kubota filters on it and I also replaced with kubota filters as well. And just to clarify, I changed the filters after the initial problem just to rule out a blocked filter. thanks for the heads up though. I do generally try to run Oem parts on my equipment.

    HST shudder. Transmission problems?

I removed the bolt and there wasn’t any metal or shavings. I shined the light into the hole and there wasn’t any metal present there either. The hole only goes so deep though. About an inch at most. I couldn’t see past that. Could it be a pressure relief valve or something I can check? I...

    HST shudder. Transmission problems?

Thank you For the reply. I will check the clutch out. I did change the filter and there was a little on the filter magnet but nothing in the filter itself That a could see. There was some in the bottom of the bucket after I emptied the fluid out. Nothing brass though. All shiny silver. Not sure...

    HST shudder. Transmission problems?

i Have an issue I hope someone can shed some light on. i own a 2008 L4240 HTS. With 850hrs on it. while traveling down the side of the road at about 14mph, it suddenly lost 2-3 mph and started to shudder. I was only about an 1/8 mile from home so I drove it slowly the rest of the way. i...
