    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

So I ordered all the parts for the head including the valves and the springs. I only kept the keepers ( kept the keepers lol ) and the spring retainers and the rocker stuff. Everything else is new, and I'm not even going to take a chance on a mistake, I'm taking it to the shop for assembly...

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

I doubt I have the tools or measuring devices to gather such accuracy ? I'll do some research and see if I can find that information on how that might be done for a .. second rate garage lol.

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

.. and a reach around. ya .. It's a chunk of cash. With the freeze plugs, valves, springs, gaskets ( dang head gasket is 80$ ), and new head bolts, the total is around 1500. But I've not found anything that I'd trust at this point. I've dealt with Messicks before, and I've always had good...

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

So a new head from Messicks is like 1150. I'm not afraid to buy it, but I am afraid to buy an aftermarket one from somewhere else. Also -- I'm hesitant to reuse the valves and springs, but I suppose I should really take them off the old head and thoroughly inspect the seats on the valves to...

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

The head is cracked. Anyone know where is the best place to get a new head. I've heard that aftermarket heads are not worth the money, and the best thing to do is get a new OEM head ? Again it's a D-950 engine. Thanks.

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

So I've gotten the head off, and .. I dunno .. the rings of the head gasket looked all in tact, but there did seem to be some missing material on the head gasket. Regardless, the cylinders were filled with water / oil mix. I'm going to take the head to the shop to get tested / worked / etc...

    B8200 oil pan removal

My tractor seems like I have to drop that axle or otherwise move it since the front housing for the shaft is blocking the complete removal of the oil plug itself. I did manage to get it out, but not without the plug digging into that housing. I can't imagine I'll be able to get it back in...

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

oh ... quite a few hours .. this tractor is the main little work horse for my little farmette. Snow plowing, hauling everything. Probably 500 hours on it, maybe more.

    D950 head bolts .. stretch ?

I have a Kubota B8200 with the D950 engine. I replaced the head gasket about 4 years ago, and now it is absolutely puking black water out of the exhaust pipe. This is after the shower o' sparks that went flying into the night sky like a Gettysburg fireworks display. I believe that the sparks...

    BF300-A hydraulic line needed

Hello I need a replacement hydraulic line for my BF300-A loader on my B8200. The square end that I have is bent and is / was kinked, but in any case will not last. Does anyone out there have this line off of some junk loader ? In the picture you can clearly see which one I need. It is the...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

IT HAS BEEN CORRECTED !!!! I believe what happened is that the glow plug INDICATOR went bad, that is, the INSULATOR disintegrated between one of the studs for the wiring, thus causing a direct flow to ground. That would explain why the indicator got white hot immediately, and also why, after...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

OK, I will try to be more concise. It seems as though I'm back to square 1. I put a new fusible link, and there is still something screwy, as my glow plug indication got white hot immediately when I tried to use the glow plugs, and the indicator itself burned out. The new one should be here...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

ADMIN - I had replied to all of this in a post just now and it said I wasn't logged in and deleted my post I wrote - I WAS logged in -- why did it do this ? Take 2 : Initially I did have trouble with that ground connection at the axle, as when I would try to start the tractor, a spot on the...

B7100D Rear brake drum, stuck on spindle...

Did you ever get it off ? I have a B8200 that seems to have some water in the drum housing, lots of moisture and rust and I am getting water ( somehow ) inside the transmission case, as the hydraulic fluid is milky as anything ( VERY BAD ). Anyway .. I want to get the drum off and replace the...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

How can you tell it is a 200amp fusible link ? I don't see that written anywhere?

    B8200 fusible link smoking

The fuse that is in there has BUSS SFE 14 stamped on the metal end. Not a 14 amp fuse ? I wasn't sure what the amperage tolerance of the fusible link was to know what to replace it with. 30 amp is ok then ? I think the local auto parts store has those kind. Isnt soldering and shrink tubing...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

I found the wiring diagram in the B8200 Owners Manual file I have ( .pdf .. readily found on the web, oddly enough ), and attached it. It seems that the 15A fuse ( Red wire -- 15a fuse -- Red / White stripe ) .... there was a 14a fuse in there ( shouldn't be a problem ? ) but it crumbled...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

I had it running fine the one day, and then I shut it off for a while and tried to start it again. In order to start the tractor, I have to use the glow plugs every single time, even if the tractor has only been off for 10 minutes. Anyway I was using the glow plugs and all of a sudden the glow...

    B8200 fusible link smoking

I'm having an issue with my B8200 ( clutch, D950 ). When I try and start the tractor, the fusible link starts to get hot and smoke. ( I stop before it burnt out completely ) I think that if I were to replace that fusible link, the same thing would happen with the new one. The question is ...

L2550 Oil Pan Bolt Torque ?

ok .. so as super luck would have it, the one tap that I stripped in the hydraulic pump, for whatever reason, the bolt that I over torqued and stripped was SHORTER than the other two bolts. So .. all I had to do was swap that bolt for one of the longer bolts and I was able to torque them all...
