Folks, working on my rear brakes. Lots of useful info found here on how to free up the brake lever in the rear housing (done, thanks!). With the brake drums exposed, I'd like to check the seal that is behind the drum. No leaks yet that I am aware of, but worth checking.

The right brake drum came out pretty easily, after remove the little slip ring/clamp (not sure what you call those). There's a bit of rust on the spindle which I will clean up and grease.

The left brake drum is frozen on the spindle/shaft. Tried a gear puller but could not get it to grip. Put heat to it (acetelyne), still no luck. Sprayed much penetrating oil, but no way to get it all the way through.

Suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get it off ?

I have a B8200 that seems to have some water in the drum housing, lots of moisture and rust and I am getting water ( somehow ) inside the transmission case, as the hydraulic fluid is milky as anything ( VERY BAD ). Anyway .. I want to get the drum off and replace the seals, and mine is stuck on the shaft, just like yours.

Anyone else have any advice on this ?

Thanks
