Not sure where I read it, but I engage MMM PTO at 1600, then mow at 3200ish. My Tach is marked for 540 RPM for the rear PTO. There is a long orange part of the tach that reads Loader, and I use it almost at max of that range for loader work.

Anything under 70 degrees is arctic as far as I'm concerned, and I don't like it. I can deal with being sweaty by twisting the throttle on the Harley a bit more. Cold agitates my disabilities something fierce, and only being not winter cures it.
