CVT vs. Automatic Transmission in car

We had a 2009 Nissan Cube with a CVT. Driving wise, couldn't tell any difference between it and your standard automatic transmission. What it DID teach us is that when a CVT dies, it just dies. Immediately and completely. Now, in 2009, it was fairly new technology, and Nissan even extended the...

Do gear driven 4701 burn up clutches?

While a HST is better suited for loader work involving digging and loading, it can be done with a Shuttle Shift. That being said, if most of your work will be implements, the Shuttle shift is better as you don't have to hold down a peddle the whole time you're using it. This is all theory. I do...

    What's cookin' boys?

I think when it refers to a cow, it's deemed ok. But I can't invite a Native American over for Tomahawk steaks. I wonder if the Cleveland Indians and KC Chiefs will stop using the chop at games. If they ever get to play again.

One more thing to piss you off

My understanding is the municipality (city hall) received the complaint, it was a state trooper accompanied by a city cop that showed up to issue the citation and "explain" what could go wrong for him in the future.

    What's cookin' boys?

Walmart Tomahawk Ribeye. 225 on the smoker for about 2 hours, 45 minutes. Perfect medium rare, melted like butter with every bite. No sear because I don't have a pan big enough for these.

One more thing to piss you off

My cousin got a fine for doing this, something about malicious intent something or another on the ticket. Cost his $475 and he had 24 hours to replace it or he'd get another ticket, another 24 hours, then arrested. That was in South Carolina in 1991 or 1992 maybe.

    D750 Engine

I spent at least 30 minutes on the google, and all I could end up with was AH designates what options the engine had, but couldn't find out specifically what AH is. I'd like to know myself if you find out.

    What's cookin' boys?

I have a Traeger Pro 22 pellet grill. First smoker. Still working out the kinks on keeping a consistent temp, seems to run a bit warmer than the setting, especially at low temps like 225. So far, nothing has turned out dry, and most everything but chicken is done faster than expected. I use an...

    LA344 loader stuck

I did almost this same thing, and the right side is now a pita sometimes. It's 50/50 whether I can attach the loader in 10 seconds or 10 minutes. I keep it in the grass now for that reason, it's harder to attach on my concrete pad than it is in the yard. I am very cautious about the arms...

    Ordering a Tractor?

Mine was on the lot, took them 3 days to get it in service and put the SSQA on it. I didn't get the "S" model loader with the fancy schmancy thingy to put the hydraulic line manifold on when it's disconnected. I just got the LA344 with SSQA added, but it works just as good.

What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

Putting my loader back on after I mow. In my learning curve, I tweaked something, so the right side is a son of a to get the knuckle together so I can flip the lever to lock it. The left side goes right in first time every time. I'm getting better at it, sometimes I get it in 3 tries, sometimes...

    Pallet Forks Implement

I have a BX2680 and LP forks. They are well built, and don't diminish capacity a great deal. Only 42 for my application, but LP makes good stuff mostly. Only issue I have is the top on it that keeps me from dropping things on my head make it difficult to see the forks, and if I stand up to look...

    Implement recommendation

My Border Collies have a history of herding chickens to death. We can't have any free range chickens anymore, they have to stay in their hotel.

    Implement recommendation

Only 4 grand. I'll get 2 on order immediately! Nice idea, but we barely qualify as a hobby farm. I will probably end up not getting anything and just continue using my bucket. Maybe take the tooth bar off so it doesn't dig into the ground as easy. Since she waiting 6 months to try to get the...
