    Block Heater

Unless you're keeping the machine outdoors I wouldn't bother with it. That tractor if kept inside even in a unheated shed as long as the glow plugs are working and you have a good battery and treated fuel it should start easy.

    B2601 vs L2501

I think unless you need a mid pto the B2601 offers for some reason the L2501 would be a better choice for what you want to do because cutting roads is always going to be easier with a bigger heavier machine.

SSQA snow plow worth the trouble?

I was running a 7' power angle Land Pride SSQA plow on my L3901 and it did a great job clearing our driveway and parking areas. You should be fine as long as it not to heavy or wide for your tractor.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Our power was out so I spent the morning opening up my neighbor's lanes after I plowed out mine. :)

Underpowered 3901 Tractor with BH77 Backhoe (or design flaw)??

This is what is says in the manual from mine. 4. It is necessary to have the backhoe detached when using rear remotes, the 3-point hitch or any other valves that are downstream of the backhoe valve. Failure to do this may cause the exceeding allowable back pressure to break the seal or case of...

    High hour use

Farm utility tractors are built much stronger than compact tractors and I agree if they are maintained well will go a long time.

Underpowered 3901 Tractor with BH77 Backhoe (or design flaw)??

You can't compare it to the B26 it is a TLB from the factory and a completely different hydraulic system. You can compare it to the L2501 with the same BH77 attachment. I would check to make sure yours is plumbed up the same as the L2501 because it sounds like they didn't connect the...

    High hour use

For a small machine like that buying one with 6500 hours or more is a gamble you can expect to dump big dollars into it. like most people mentioned above you would be better off to keep looking for something with less time on it.

Sold the tractor and bought something better

I agree and have the attachments too. The skid steers are great little machines. We have utility tractors for farming and skid steers for loader work. Compact tractors have their place I guess but the couple we had we were disappointed in and soon traded for something more suited to our needs. :)

To 4WD or Not To 4WD

As long as you have the correct size tires on your machine you can run in 4 wheel drive without damaging anything on you tractor.

L4701 I am an idiot how screwed am I ?

I'm not going to say you can't trash a engine in 100 hours but it would be pretty uncommon. I'd be leaning towards something that the warranty should cover in this case. Unless the original owner did something really stupid like putting gasoline in the tank by mistake you're probably going to...

    Mice

I wonder if that Grandpa stuff would work in my tool box drawers they seem to like to nest in there too. I'll have to try that out when I get that stuff. :)

    Mice

I also use the home made bucket traps and they work great - When it's below freezing out I just put some anti-freeze in the bottom so the water don't freeze up. The old leave the hood up also has seemed to work for the engine compartment but not the so much for inside the cabs there I put solar...
