Struggling during the last snow storm.

By no means am I a snow or tractor expert but I plowed snow professionally for a company for 15 years with with a skid loader or 1 ton truck and plowed for the local township 2 years. I've been running farm tractors since I was 8 so I kind of have a general idea on those things. I use to plow...

    frozen hydraulics

Out of curiosity I watched a video on this subject. The mechanic said anything below 10 degrees let it idol to warm up for 5 minutes but you need to be easy on tractor, don't run it wide open no heavy loader or 3 point work. He suggested 15 minutes at idle or a tad higher when colder . No block...

After reading the tarp and heater suggestion I was thinking that. Around here it's a coffee can and just some coals.

    Kubota Slapped With 11M Fine

Forums are very nice and seems like everyone has something to offer.......good and bad and people have their way of doing things in different parts of the area but you need to take the advice with a grain of salt or after being on them for awhile you get a feel on who's a good source. I'll be...

    3 point hitch stabilizers adjustment.

Thank you. I agree with you on that, and read different forms and watched different videos about thoughts of doing it. I'll be 100% honest I don't even like using the loader to backdrag or push long distances. It's a LOADER FOR LOADING THATS THE FUNCTION OF IT was brought up in many forums and...

    3 point hitch stabilizers adjustment.

Thank you. I can understand now it's kind of a happy medium/best for the task. I was just following the manual lol. In the middle spots/original spot there was like 1/2 inch of play but never banged around and gave me nice straight paths. I understand now it's better to have some forgiveness in...

    3 point hitch stabilizers adjustment.

Thanks. It makes sense to have a little play/leeway. In the original spots it was maybe a 1/2inch which would gives it some leeway vs 6 inches of play where it bangs around. After reading the manual and your input it seems like a happy medium decision. Thank you.

    3 point hitch stabilizers adjustment.

I was brushing up on the owners manual tonight after clearing about 14 inches of snow this past weekend and -30 windchills and wanted to make sure I'm checking over and running the tractor correctly in this extreme weather. I looking at the 3 point hitch stabilizers and this is how they were...

Bx2370 right side's f.e.l. pin - I cannot remove. On flat concrete with front wheels up. Looking for pointers.

On my 2610 the right side pin is a bit harder to get in and out but never needed hand tools or hammer to get it out. I have the the bucket flat and just need to play with the the hydraulics until I find the sweet spot where it's loose.

    Kubota Slapped With 11M Fine

I use to pull a float for the local animal shelter in holiday parades. Even going 5mph there were enough close calls of trashy parents telling their 8 kids to run out infront of a vehicle to get the last tootsie roll I stopped doing it for liability issues. My son's school asks me each year...

    Kubota Slapped With 11M Fine

With my mishap it was 0% my fault or the employers and I was parked on a public street unloading equipment to work at the house I was in front of/ the job site. The 3rd party driver wasn't paying attention, ignored signs, cones, my bright vest and is held liable but since I was punched in on...

    Kubota Slapped With 11M Fine

I can't say a whole lot but I'm in the middle of a suite after being seriously injured by a 16 year old driver while I working construction. Lawsuits are nothing but reading between the fine lines manipulating those involved and covering your ass. I wasn't even Landed at the trauma center yet...

    frozen hydraulics

I worked at a tree and lawn care company for 10 years. When Temps got down to 0 we didn't go out. 1) too cold for crews 2) too cold for the equipment. The lift would just creep raising up. I let my lx2610 and atv warm up and Idle for 10 to 15 minutes to let everything circulate in cold weather...

    Box Blade For Lx2610.

Another update to the up date. The 1st storm was about 4 inches of wet heavy snow. It packed into the boxblade.... good and bad. I have a good rhythm going where I go up to the pile, lift, back up then push it up. Over night we unexpectedly got 3 inches of light fluffy snow. I'd go maybe 50 ft...

    Box Blade For Lx2610.

Another update. We finally had measurable snow. We were in a winterstorm warning all day, schools and businesses closed. 5 to 11 inches expected 40 mph winds.........it really didn't get bad until lunch time. Got maybe 4 inches. I tried the rear box blade. Many pros of it like taking the...

    Large Garden Tips needed

I know what you mean. My father inlaw gave me his wheel horse tiller I use for cultivating and I'm pretty sure some china man is missing some fingures how deep it goes. When my wife and I 1st bought our hobby farm we used what we had at the moment for our 50x50 garden. I used my 700cc atv with...

    Rear Floodlight On A LX2610?

Little bit of an update. There's a winter storm coming so I ordered this wowled off Amazon. It's magnetic and plugs into the cigarette lighter. I bought this 1) I grew up running farm tractors that had only 1 rear work light, 2) I wasn't 100% sure where I wanted it mounted to look down at my...

This is the 4th or 5th time I read on here someone saying having the tractor in 4wd you now have front brakes. Why do people think that?

    Tractor "school"

I applause you for wanting to learn more about how to run your tractor safely and wisely. When I bought my lx2610 the sales guy just walked my wife and I around it for 10 minutes and showed some stuff but I think he learned more from me. He gave us a couple cases of beer, shirts, hats Keychains...

    Box Blade For Lx2610.

I've been doing a ton of research of different brands of rear blades and box blades. Sadly a few of them seem exactly the same just different colors and stickers with jacked up prices. If you look closely at welds and support you can see some differences. This used kk for 400.00 looks exactly...
