    Seat Springs

Well here's what I came up with. I too have a bad back.I had three disks removed from my lower spine, 360° fusion, with a titanium cage and two rods and screws. It took two years for my back to completely heal.. I put the helper springs inside the stock springs you can see in the pictures. They...

    Seat Springs

Mikester, Well I think it's the suspension, the springs are not firm enough to support a guy my size. So, today l spent about eight bucks, went to a local old time hardware store, bought two heavy wound springs that fit perfectly inside the stock springs and are held in place by the rubber...

    Seat Springs

Thanks guys,I will definitely look into the link to see if they fit. That would be a solution. Old Harley Valve springs might help as a helper spring. Thanks again

    Antifreeze

Roadworthy, I had to go to the dealership the other day to pick up something I ordered..I asked for a gallon of Antifreeze for the BX, they use Peak and stock it. Same mix as what's call for in the shop manual. Bought a gallon. Thanks for the reply..

    Seat Springs

Trustable, Just checking the manuals. Nothing on spring tension, seat sliding and tilting but no spring tension I see. I called the dealership to see if they have stiffer springs as an accessory option, the parts guy said he was not aware of any, he checked the catalog also..

    Seat Springs

I used my BX 188 this afternoon and it did an awesome job. Lawn looks beautiful. The one thing I think needs some improvement is seat springs. I'm no small guy,l bottom the seat on ruff terrain..Are there heavier wound springs available to give more comfort for us big guys ? Thanks guys..

    ROPS. ?

Guys, Using two long flat bladed ends on two ply bars, l loosened the 14mm bolts at the bottom of the uprights and was able to get them to move inward on each side which made alignment at the top on each much easier.. Now it's not so much of an issue to install. Some white lithium grease on the...

White tiger, Thank you, I will try it tomorrow. I am going to need a hand four sure. Trying to line it up,hold it in place and get the bolt through is a two man job.. Luckily I have a friend who is stopping by tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.

    ROPS. ?

Well I took the top half of the ROPS bar off my new 1880, because it was very hard if not impossible trying to fold it to the down position I was going to apply some grease to the inside of the bars where it slides over the bottom uprights on either side of the machine. Got it off ok, but now...

    Antifreeze

LMichael, I have a friend who owns his own auto service center..He is a awesome mechanic. He takes all the old fluids for me. I can remember when I was a kid in the sixties using old motor oil to kill off weeds. Same with old gas. That was probably not good but neither is pesticides or...

    Antifreeze

Thanks guys, l only have to add a little bit to the overflow tank. Being a new machine l do not want to do anything that the dealer can say it voided the warranty. It is not like I will be doing a full. flush and fill with new fluid.
