    BX tie rod Zerk fittings

Has anyone installed zerk fittings in the tie rods ends on a BX tractor? My new BX has sealed tie rod ends. I'm thinking about drilling them and installing self tapping Zerk fittings. Drives me crazy I can't grease them and using a needle does not seam to be as good as a grease fitting. Has...

Thanks again guys..I never cut wet grass either. Even though the grass maybe slightly moist mildew from overnight being cool. I never thought to use a air hammer gun to clean the junk. I do have one in my tool box, next time I pull the deck off I will give it a try. At 64 pulling and flipping...

    Cleaning and Maintenance on deck

Thanks guys.. I scrape and clean the deck after every 10 hours of use. The service manual recommends grease at every 10 hours so when I pull the deck off to grease it, I clean it and sharpen the blades while I'm at it. The ramps would allow for some basic cleaning but to get at the zerk...

    Weight Box

Ve89aa, said "The first time I tried to lift something really heavy at an odd angle with my forks, one rear tire came off the ground. Shorts turned brown. :poop: An hour later, (after change of shorts) I ordered a ballast box." Rest assured, you weren't alone in that situation. Same happened...

    Weight Box

Thank you JimDel.. I know the box will hold 600 lbs but I really don't believe that's required. It manly spreading some top soil in the yard and mulch. I know the first load of soil was a learning experience without the extra weight. Slow,Low on the bucket height, back down the hills, took some...

    Weight Box

Thanks guys. I will use my pellet stove bag pellets on top of the iron weights in the bottom of the weight box..I plan on lining the box with a heavy duty bag before I put anything in it. Just in case of any spillage. I guess a payloader was the incorrect terminology. I'll use front end loader...

2017 BX23S with 110 hours - ignore "hours" service interval and change fluids?

If it were mine, I change all the fluids and filters including the air filter and grease the tractor. I'd remove the deck, clean it, sharpen or replace the blades and grease it too.. It's your machine do what you feel is right for you.

    Kubota Super utd fluid alternative

Yes ¢75 cents per hour. My bad. Still what's that in the grand scheme of things? We are using more than that in diesel fuel per hour. Years ago I sent for oil specs and test results on various oils from different manufacturers independent lab analysis. I spent time studying them. Spectro IMO and...
