OK in the garage and a thought

An example of a PTO pump, I have no first hand knowledge of this specific brand. I do know PTO pumps are used on several different attachments. PTO hydraulic pump

You might want to look at converting your splitter to hydraulic driven. A 3 point splitter for example.

    FWIW steering line failure.

I lobbied for warranty extension/coverage (refused) and or KTAC coverage (refused). KTAC stated they don't cover material failure. That is what warranty is for. I did not see the damaged line but it was a small hairline crack 1/4" long near the fitting. The line may have been damaged when the...

    FWIW steering line failure.

A few weeks ago I was tilling a garden at PTO rated RPMs. Came to the end of the row turned steering hard to the right to start a new row and what I thought was smoke poured out from under the deck of my tractor. I dropped rpm's to idle and shut down PTO. I then limped tractor 200 yds to home...

Land Pride box blade defective shank failure

I have snapped a few and all at that same place. My box blade is not a Land Pride. We have a store here in N.C. called Agri-Supply. They stock them and sell a bunch of the rippers. Box labeling is all Chinese. I believe they are cast and then machined.

    Piranha toothbar questions

I have the regular version installed three years ago and not taken off. It is good at digging and uprooting small trees. It does a good job back dragging also.

Kubota Says No Wheel Ballast With a Backhoe.

My guess, The wheels are not up to the loads and would crack like some of the TLB guys are reporting.

HELP with stock L4060 seat - too soft a ride

As a test, air tires down to 15 and add something heavy on your 3 point to see if that helps ride quality with stock seat. If not, Kubota offers a air ride seat option for your tractor. I have one installed on my L4760. Cost was $1K for the seat a few years ago. I was given free installation...

    Zd331will not start

I have owned my ZD323 since 2009. I have changed out the brake safety switch 3 times, I think it gets gummed up with debris kicked up from front of mower deck. As a temporary work around I hold the key in the start position and cycle the brake pedal until it starts. I have blown out switch with...

    Fluorescent lights

With the old T-5 bulbs my six fixtures 24 bulbs had a 10.8a draw. Now I have a 6.0a draw. It does not sound like much but my 3.5kw generator that I power my shop and camper with during power outages notices the difference. We agree on increased light output. My power company subsidized lighting...

    Electric Surge Protectors.

We have the smart meters that are supposed to notify power company when meter is pulled. I hired an electrician to replace my main panel that had meter base included. I was insalling a new panel with generator inter lock. Electrician snipped tamper tag, pulled meter and 1 hour later re-installed...

    Fluorescent lights

I retrofitted my 6ea 4 tube T-5 fixtures to these bulbs. No need to disconnect ballast. Light output is great and a large reduction in electric power. LED

    Burmalight

I would buy the next model up from This or rent a big grinder. I am using my Father In-Laws Baumalight Stump Blaster 24 and it is a very slow process to grind stumps especially hardwoods. The Grind wheel is hinged and will allow the grinder to slide over the stump. The next model up uses the...

    Changing to 4 wheel drive

Also use 4wd when traveling down hill with load in the bucket/grapple and maybe even with no load (Wet/snowy conditions). I have had rear tires loose traction and slide the brake was worthless at that point. In 4wd you still have a chance of not sliding all 4 tires and having some control.

Are these the Gator Blades to get?

I would search on Amazon that part number and read reviews. I ordered G-6 blades and they were a little too long and would contact each other. I used an angle grinder to add clearance and they worked fine. The 2nd set I ordered, the blades were thinner than Kubota blades and I had to use a...

Zd 323 Won't turn over or shut down

Did it crank but not start or not crank at all ? The brake safety switch acts up on mine occasionally and I have to stomp on the pedal while holding the key in the start position to get it to crank. Fuel shutdown solenoid would be the other possibility. I had a bad solenoid on my RTV 1100 and...

    Broken blade.

Not a metalurgist so FWIW. Based on picture in post #8. I wonder if that blade was a little loose and the compression washers spun creating heat in that area. It looks like a color change in the metal where the washer would contact the blade.
