Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

Kubota DOES indeed have a good, well-deserved reputation. You have no argument from me on that. Also, I would agree that the reputation of Kubota is better/more well known than Kioti. That said, I think if you are objective (as I think I was) and you look at a lot of recent evaluations and...

First & Hopefully Last Tractor - Advice needed on tractor and implements.

Kubota is a great tractor - but there are also others that you can look at - and I honestly believe that the quality and reliability of some of these other brands are on par with Kubota. The L3901 that you are considering has a very low FEL lift capacity. You mentioned using a grapple in the...

    Add Weight to Box Scraper?

Thanks for all of the input. I will experiment with weight as well as lowering the tines down and see what combination may work best for the soil that we have.

    Add Weight to Box Scraper?

I have a LandPride BB1566 box scraper and I am using it to clear a field of weeds growing in relatively hard ground. I have the tines up and just trying to use the scraper to cut/roll maybe 1" of ground to remove the weeds and get a nice appearance. With the ground as hard as it is, the...

Frustration with waiting on new Kubota order

Trust me when I say it will be worth it. I have a 2018 F350 with the 6.7. I just towed a tractor and trailer from my home in SoCal to Phoenix and back - about 6.5 hours each way. About 11,000lbs towed weight and temps in Phoenix were 115F. The F350/6.7 couldn't have cared less. Super...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

I got the new Kioti home late on Friday after a very smooth transaction. Picture below is just after unloading. The thing definitely has some good lighting both forward and backward. On Saturday, I got the box scraper hooked up and was able to use the tractor for about an hour and a half and...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

As much as we bitch and moan over emissions regulations (and trust that I have done my fair share of complaining), they really have helped considerably to clean up the environment. I have both a marco and micro example. I began my career in Aerospace some 41 years ago hiring in a Lockheed...

    Another Kubota AC issue

Completely agree. This is really the only way to get back to the proper amount of charge as well as oil that should be in the system. As other have said, there's really no difference between other AC systems. The components, their function and proper diagnostic procedures are all the same...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

Agree with parts availability - an important factor. These unique past 12-14 months have really stressed the supply chain/parts availability for all. I've got the 2501 loaded up and ready to travel tomorrow to do the exchange/upgrade. Well, at least I hope it is an upgrade!

Newbie here / I think I broke my bushhog :-(

Can you tell us what brand/model "shredder" you have? Manufacturers will either use a shear pin or a clutch (more common) to be the item that "slips" in case you hit something. It sounds like the clutch is still slipping - either something is still jamming the blades or the clutch may need to...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

That's totally not it. At 61 years old, I stopped caring what other people think a LONG time ago! Nah, the reason for the post is to help others make better decisions. From my post and others in this thread; 1. Proximity of and knowledge of dealer can/should strongly influence brand choice...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

This is a very astute observation combined with sound advice. Ballast will DEFINITELY be important when lifting heavier loads. There is a good video online with a landscape company comparing the lift capability between the DX and NX. Both have similar capacities but the NX is a heavier...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

LOL... I don't even get to pick up the new Kioti until end of next week - LOL! I think you make an excellent point about dealerships - their proximity to you and how friendly/knowledgeable/competent they are. In general, I think Kubota dealerships have been around a little longer and far fewer...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

As I referenced, the DK4210SE has a lift capacity to full height of 2,474 lbs. In contrast, the Kubota MX series is 2275 lbs and the L4701 is only 1684 lbs. From a price perspective, maybe the L4701 is closest - but the DK4219SE has 50% more front lift capacity. That is significant. Even if...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

Posting this here by no means to bash the Kubota L2501 as I think it is simply a great tractor for the money - and it served us well for the last 2 short years. But, as our first tractor, we learned quite a bit and unlike 2-years ago, we now know more about our needs and priorities. It doesn't...

    Bad weld on lift cylinder

Undoubtedly a manufacturing defect but also something super-easy to repair! 1. Wire wheel on a drill to remove the paint in the area 2. Clean area well to remove all oil/fluid 3. 3-seconds of welding with a MIG welder. 4. Wire brush weld to clean 5. Shaker can of Kubota Orange paint 6. Beer time!

    Pulled the trigger L2501

Kubota dealers must be of a different (but similar) breed. My L2501 was delivered with the FEL and mower but they didnt have box scraper in stock. They delivered that 2-weeks later..... and never asked me for a dime until everything was delivered. Pretty cool. I guess I had a built-in...

    Pulled the trigger L2501

Awesome! We are LOVING our L2501! It seems that we have done SOOO much with it already but only 32 hours on the clock. We added a 60" (7 rows of 6 tine flanges) tiller from CountryLine yesterday. We have the hardest most & rock-laden ground known to man.... and you really need to go slow as...

Help Needed to Identify Tiller Make/Model

We picked up this 42" offset tiller to run behind our Kubota L2501. Everything went well for the first 1/2 hour when suddenly the driveline dis-engaged when the tiller dug up a particularly large rock. We didn't think much of it and began looking for the shear pin. You need to remove 4 bolts...
