    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

I think addressing the fuel system first would be advised. If the tank isn’t too difficult to remove I’d pull It, empty and clean. I’d replace fuel filter too (fill the new one with diesel and install if possible). You will need a good battery and possibly a jump pack, it’s probably going to...

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

I agree with not removing the injectors ( my suggestion to remove was only if a cylinder lubricant was added). Mike

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

Have you checked the oil for water? Since it’s turning over easily with a breaker bar, I’d be inclined to move forward with attempting to start it. If you add any type of lubricant to the cylinders just be sure to spin the motor over without the injectors to clear them out, you don’t want a...

    Anyone build a 'replica' Cobra?

I built my Factory Five in 1999, started as a basic build, w/parts from a wrecked Fox body Mustang. I converted to carb. 302, 5sp. Ford B303 cam, lots of fun. I really enjoyed building it, I did everything including body and single stage paint. Since original build it’s been though numerous...

Where do you keep your small money?

Thanks to you Henro! Wife and I both Maxed in May, we got one daughter to open an account also. I passed info about I Bonds to other friends and family too. Sounding like Nov rate may be about 6.48%, which is still pretty good, best CD we have bought was 3.25% - 12 Months. Mike

    Lennox Heat Pump Woes

We just had to have Freon added to our heat pump, A coil started freezing up. Its a 17 year old Carrier unit with 410A refrigerant. $350 for 2lbs. And the service call, $100 a lb for the freon, ouch. its probably on borrowed time, tech says it’s most likely a slow A coil leak. Won’t be money...

Knocking sound on D1005 that goes away with open injector line

If it‘s easy to do, swap injectors around and see if the knock moves too. that should let you know it is the injector, not an issue with that cylinder. Mike

    Barn Build

Sounds well thought out, I went with 8’ ceiling height and regular 7’x9’ garage doors on my garage/pole building, still regret both. I plan to go at least 12’ ceiling for a lift and definitely larger door openings on the next build. First building is 24’x40’ still debating L‘ X W ‘ on the next...

crazy things kids say, or do

My wife was dragging the family through souvenir shops while we were on vacation one year. Multiple shops that all sell the same junk. I was keeping track of our little girl, she and I were about done with souvenir shopping and hoping Mom would find whatever the heck she was looking for soon...

I Stole a $859 Hot Water Heater from HD a couple days ago!

I agree, I‘ve returned quite a few defective purchases in the past. I’m usually told to go get the replacement and bring it to the return desk, but I can see how a water heater would be a bit cumbersome to do that. Good on you for returning to the store to correct the mistake. Mike
