Agree with PTB, not a problem. Your handle intrigues me, were you a "CT" by any chance? I retired from NSG in 1990.

    Michigan Deer

Under Maine law, as I understand it, "nuisance deer" can be harvested by the landowner. And I do love me some venison. Just not sure at this point that I want to take a chance on having mis-interpreted the relevant statute. Do think I'll look into a crossbow tho, as they are legal for use here.

    Michigan Deer

I have had MASSIVE deer damage to my plantings and garden this year. They completely wiped out my tulips, hosta and nasturtiums, took out half my tomatoes and nibbled the tops off my potatoes after hopping over the fence to get at them. I thought I'd placed the 4 foot fences close enough...

    Do you need a truck?

Thank you. I was going to reply in a similar vein, but not nearly as polite. Mine is a short box 4 door 4WD but it's the furthest thing from a "Cowboy Cadillac". I take care of it mechanically but otherwise it gets rode hard and put away wet. I can count the number of times it's been washed...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finished up that patch job on the lawn. Wrong time of year to be trying to start grass, but I seeded it anyway and if it takes, good. If not, I'll hit it again in early Fall when it cools down.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Working on a little lawn repair project. The bozos that installed a 20 foot culvert in the ditch between my front and side lawns backfilled it with ditch cleanings and called it "loam". Sand and rocks is all it has ever been, with the odd clump of clay. Between the poor excuse for soil and the...

    Dodge Fans....No V8s

I understand (not confirmed) that Toyota is going the same route. I love my 2013 Tundra with the 5.7 and will drive it until the wheels fall off. Not about to drop $50-80K on a truck anyway.

    *Thinking* about tractor operating

If the tractor is a hydrostatic drive, it is my habit to run the engine at full rated RPM and control ground speed with the range lever and hydro pedal. Lugging the engine is hard on it and does nothing significant for fuel consumption IMHO. Dropping engine RPM also reduces pressures in the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

The State DOT cleaned out a ditch across the road from me, and I managed to get all the spoil - about 60 yards, more or less. 6 dump truck loads in any event. I put the rock bucket (skeleton bucket) on the Cabota and used it to screen out the big chunks of roots, sod, rocks weeds and debris...

    Cautionary Tale - 71 isn't the new 23

I don't do heights any more, nor ladders more than a couple of steps. I don't bounce worth a damn any more.

    Generator Time

I put one in about 10 years ago. Best money I've ever spent. There have been a half-dozen or so multi-day outages in that time.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have about 3 acres of what used to be sheep pasture. I sold the sheep 8 years ago, but I keep it mowed to keep the alders from creeping back in. I have three sections I call the Upper, Lower and South "pastures", about an acre apiece. Just finished 2nd mowing of the South pasture, and the...
