    Piranha toothbar questions

I have the standard version. Installed it on my L3301 about 4 years ago. It definitely enhances digging in hard-packed soil. I have never taken it off, and probably never will. Jack

    Hydraulic fittings

There are many types of pipe dope. Some are not suitable for hydraulics. Jack

    PTO Chipper recommendations

You will get lots of opinions about burn vs chip. I personally do not want to burn for a variety of reasons. I also have an L3301. I purchased a Woodmaxx WM8H. It works fine, but does have some drawbacks. It only uses 2 knives whereas I think that 4 knives is a better design. It is difficult...

    Cruise Control - L3902 HST

L3301 owner here. HST pedal is on the right; but my cruise control lever is on the left. From what I see on internet websites, it will be the same location on the L3902. Looks like cost of the kit is almost $300. Should be L8496? Jack

Do you all remember your first concert

Summer of ‘69. Tanglewood, NY. BB King, Jefferson Airplane, and the Who. My first concert, but certainly not the best. One of the best I have seen was Greg Allman on his last tour. Never said a word to the crowd, but played and sang his heart out. Biggest concert regret - not seeing John...

BX to LX — Different World

Congrats on the transition! T and T really makes a difference, too - easier to hook up implements and adjustments can be made on the fly. Awesome! Enjoy! Jack

    Box blade recommendation for BX

Soil type is a consideration; and so is terrain. If you have steep terrain, you should probably not consider a 60”. Just my 2 cents. Jack

    Fasteners

You would be surprised what you can get at your local hardware store. Additional benefit is that you can buy just one, exchange easily what you buy in error, and check thread sizes and pitches. By local hardware store, I do not mean Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I mean a real hardware store...

    Hydraulic Top Link

Motor162 - The extension that I made is very similar to the picture that you attached. I had some thick scrap material, and made my extension out of what I had on hand. Otter - I have not had any clearance issues. I can take a picture for you when I take the backhoe off. I have been using...

PTO Driven log splitter vs. stand alone L3902HST

I completely agree with Dan on this. I have a “Split Fire“ 3 point splitter with log lifter. It runs very well from the hydraulics of my L3301. If you already have access to the 3 point log splitter, I would think that you would spend the minimal time and expense to utilize the hydraulics of...

    3 point back blade ?

I use my box blade for ballast. It is very heavy, and does not stick too far back from my tractor. I think that a back blade could be used for ballast, especially if you added some weight to it (maybe a couple of chains?). It could also prove useful as another means of moving snow. Just have...

    525 loader relocating lever

I also found the loader control to be too long. When I installed a 3rd function valve, I cut the control rod significantly shorter before mounting the “switch Knob”. This was helpful for me. Jack
