I posted a solution for two cameras (solar powered and wireless) with the monitor plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. I've repositioned the front one so the back up lines align with the plates that snag the implement. The rear position of mine on the Amish Triangle is a bit awkward as...
The engines on the 40, 54, and 60 are the same with the difference in the turbo they put on it. You might want to check into adding a turbo, even third party. WRT the snow blower, I found my 5460 is quite adequate. you need a subframe, etc. I did add the diverter so I can adjust he angle of...
Attachments that don't dig too much or have too much drag weight can go to 72". I did use a 680 pound 60" grader/scraper on a JD 1025R and found the implement was more than the tractor. Now on my current 5460, it's amazing how much better I can basically flip a gravel road. I could easily go...
Agree, but the opening is limited, you have to rotate the shaft in hole on deck, and you have to use a flex socket to get onto the bolts. Greasing is awkward. Doable, but not easy.
I have a L5460 which a quick hitch is used to grab a RCR 1272 Brush Hog. It originally had the Grade 2 shear bolt. Problem is, unlike my now gone JD 1025R, the PTO isn't a soft engage. The brush hog has lots of inertia. Even at idle, I'd get a slam on engagement. Around ten times later, the...
I use back up cameras primarily for grabbing implements on the quick hitch and loader. Since they are solar powered, intermittent use through a 5 inch screen would likely be limiting. My setup is:

For you, a larger...
I have a 40 gal boom/hose sprayer combo that I roll around the shop on a furniture dolly for storage and out to the tractor for the quick hitch. My experience is trailers for most everything except bigger tasks are not as good as just carrying it. The sprayer boom flips open, turn the correct...
I'm like many who tip past the maximum 220ish which causes the seat to bottom out. My cheap method to prevent the hard crashes is to stick pool noodle segments in. I believe someone posted this idea before but I didn't see a picture. A regular screwdriver is used to pop out the retaining...
In the US, the Kubota insurance and Travelers (1/2 the price) covers off property. Kubota requires insurance if you're financing through them. 0%/5yr at the moment.
Our local dealer automatically gets the HD bucket and edge unless the customer insists on something else. The dealer mentioned the customers come back after a while to get the rounded HD. The edge wears over time and replaces easily. Some don't like the nylox nut protrusion in the bucket, but...
I went light years ahead of a JD 1025R to a cabbed L5460. Felt everything you do and more at my age. If you want a place to stash the chain, you can get caps for the FEL tube from

I've done a number of things to reduce anything lifting, yanking...
I was active duty Navy LT early in my career. We attended a wedding at the Admiral Kidd Club in San Diego. Nice wedding. Groomsmen in dress with swords. Bride gets the butt whack with the sword on the way out. Fabulous reception. I ate, drank, and then felt the pressure. I followed the...
I did the 5 year 0% thing in January for last year's prices. Kubota Insurance is way overpriced as you can get Travelers for about 1/3rd the cost. Kubota requires insurance to protect their interest, not yours. My financial advisor ran the numbers for every way I could do it and said the 0%...
Cameras are wireless and solar powered (to a point). 5 inch monitor is attached by a suction cup to the right door glass. I'm likely going to shift to a cup holder mount as I can then use the one in the rear for backing up. A custom cup holder is on the right door rod for front view work...
Why cameras? I can't see in the L5460 like I could with a JD 1025R. However, the cab, heat, etc. have become more essential. The problem with the cabs is limited or no visibility on key attachment points on the 3-point (iMatch) and the loader. My experiment was installing cameras in the back...
More great advice. The key to all of this is to have good connections and keeping the wires clear of vegetation. You don't want excessive voltage drops. On my small 3 acre pasture (picture above), I run a continuous aluminum wire spliced with fencing wire connectors. Tension it up with a...
Excellent advice in here. The Parmak 12 is 3.1 joules, which is plenty according to AK F&G. Use 4-5 strands of high tensile steel wire with the top strand at 40 inches. Three ground rods for sure. I have a Solar 12 collecting dust as our short winter days runs the battery out along with the...
Sure we have tractors out here in the sticks. They've been sitting around because there are no loaders, hence they'll continue to sit. Started seeing all sorts of stuff for the rear end, but still no loaders.
They are pricy, but a mom and pop making stuff that doesn't have a large market, and there you go. I have their steps, tool box, grab handle, cup holder, and the FEL caps. As I'm a senior, the grab handle is most useful when backing out of the cab.
