    First coolant change questions L3901

I’ll let others speak to your specific question, but when I did this about a year ago on my 3301 (so likely similar parts, but check), I found the radiator plug (if used to drain there) should be replaced - not reused. You can see how where the two mating surfaces come together, it cuts into the...

    Increasing hillside mowing stability

Often I’ll be temporarily insane and will be moving along with a full FEL of gravel when I realize my back-end (even with ballast) is now feeling a little light (if it only it were true in real life) and things could go very badly quickly, especially if I’m not in 4WD. I definitely see the...

    Increasing hillside mowing stability

I’m going to go with 3” on mine (R4s), which will keep me about the same width as R1s that are all the way out, should there be axle considerations.

On a Mavic2 Zoom now for two years, which replaced a 3 year old Phantom4 that had one of the arms break off in mid-flight. That fog must have been icy as the props needed de-icing upon return.

Brand new L3901 - Windshield Wiper Fluid as ballast in Ohio?

That is gonna be one tricked out setup. I had ordered the L8430 telescopic stabilizer kit, which I wonder if it is the same thing. I also added a 3rd function valve myself from Summit Hydraulics for the grapple, and a piranha tooth bar for the FEL bucket.

Brand new L3901 - Windshield Wiper Fluid as ballast in Ohio?

That back blade will do nicely. Did you get them to add the 3rd function valve for use with grapple or will you be adding that later?

Brand new L3901 - Windshield Wiper Fluid as ballast in Ohio?

Also wanted to say any time I decided to use my FEL with just the filled tires, I had regrets. I don’t lift much now without a rear blade or box blade hanging off the back, even with the filled tires. Sounds like you’ve got a nice setup coming—congratulations

Brand new L3901 - Windshield Wiper Fluid as ballast in Ohio?

As the crow flies, I’m not too far from you, and I’ve never had an issue with washer fluid in my R4s over three winters, with my 3301 sitting in an unheated garage.

L3301 and rear chains - what do I need?

Picked it up off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/WINNTEC-Wheel-Dolly/dp/B0851YDNPR Figured I’d save my back and use it for my truck tires, no matter what. Has a 550# weight limit (unfilled R4 rears on the l3301 weigh 200#). The rollers are 11” long and will work pretty good for lining up the...

L3301 and rear chains - what do I need?

Picked up one of these to help get the rear R4’s off and on (once the weather warms up, anyway).

More on right to repair legislation or lack thereof

I’m all for fixing what I can but I’ll be the first to tell you sometimes I’m like the guy Dirty Harry blew up at the end of Magnum Force (he didn’t know his own limitations). That said, many manufacturers will make their repair parts available with the stipulation that if my cousin’s nephew’s...

Back Blade for snow removal with horse mat

Agree 100% on ‘turned backward’ -I was getting a sore neck and also needed to go down a 6-7 degree grade on my driveway, so I drive forward down the slope and pull the snow behind me, angled to the side.

L3301 and rear chains - what do I need?

Likely depends as well on other factors such as chain type and fit. I picked 3” spacers because those gave me the equivalent width on that rear as R1’s have that themselves are moved all the way out. I’m on hills a lot so that was really my primary reason. I haven’t even procured any chains as...

L3301 and rear chains - what do I need?

I ordered in 3” Bro-tek Spacers to enable this on my 3301 with R4s (and just widen Butch up a little). Great customer service from Richard at Bro-tek. Now I’m looking around for the easiest way to pull my loaded rear tires off without breaking my back. Actually ‘pulling’ them off won’t be...

Poly or Rubber Edge for RB1660

I made a sandwich (using a rubber horse stall mat) between the cutting edge and the blade, and it worked really well for me, on gravel. https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/back-blade-for-snow-removal-with-horse-mat.48705/
