    Correct snowblower for BX2680

Everyone will give you a different answer on physical size and why it works for THEM. How do the rated PTO HP #'s stack up for your machine and the 2 snowblowers you posted about? (I'm too lazy to go and look them up - that's your job - to present us with that info) :-)

Proper tool for the job !

Thank you Mark. I don't throw much out. Had these wheels/tires/hubcaps off an old Dodge Shadow stored down in the woods for close to 10yrs before I finally found a use for them. (No dollar solution!) At first, I had my blade on a wooden pallet, but @ 5am in the middle of a snowstorm, I would...

Proper tool for the job !

Big fan of snowblowers here in New Brunswick, Canada. For where I live (up on top of a hilly ridge) we get our fair share of snow...maybe even "more than our fair share, lol" I estimate I use my 48" commercial blower close to 90% of the time. HOWEVER, there are times when we get a mix of...

    Looking at DOWN sizing

I own a BX2380 (slightly bigger brother to the BX1880) and I love it.....but....no way I would want the reduced features and HP of the '1880......especially w/o a FEL included for that price. In my case, I wanted "small" to fit in the garage (it's miniscule)_ and up walkways with the 48"...

    Snowblower help

yeah, I didn't math that statement perfectly exact or especially well....I usually haul the blower off when I take the snow tires off the cars....it can vary from first week of April to the last week of April. (We've seen snow up to Mid May before though !!!)

    Snowblower help

Right - I am aware. I have one. I just thought once those 2 "dogs" or couplings are engaged (with the beefy spring mechanism), any slop or movement when raising the whole thing up was "taken up" in the driveshaft. If you have wear, either yours is not quite right? (loose bearing, loose bolts...

    Snowblower help

I must be dumb (I'm sure I am). Doesn't/shouldn't the blower and K-connect raise as one unit? Check out this video....skip ahead to about the 5:20 mark when he raises it. I was always under the (mistaken?) impression, differences were made up while angling with the driveshaft (seen earlier in...

    Snowblower help

Jay I don't speak for the OP (or Dusty) but the spring to make the dogs/couplers engage is pretty strong. The very first time I engaged it, in the late fall 2+ yrs ago, it startled me. I don't completely understand the physics of the issue either. I, too, was trying to wrap my head around how...

    Poly Cutting Edge for BX?

(I didn't read any replies in this thread) I installed (for a small period of time) a PVC cutting edge on my front mounted 48" snowblower. As I recall, I took a 48" x 1.5" pc of grey electrical pvc and ripped it right up one side and put it right over the metal cutting edge of my blower. It...

    Snowblower help

That's some serious damage. DustyRusty (I think) had a separate thread where he thought (I am paraphrasing) the wear and tear on those parts was from running the blower with it raised up off the ground. (someone correct me on that if not so) I am sure he'll see this thread, or someone else can...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

No pix, but snowblowed for 1.25hrs @ 5am just to be able to get out onto a road that was not plowed ! The BX is earnin' its keep.

    AZ High Tractor Prices

I posted about a total rust bucket here a couple months ago up for auction.....I'll have to find & resurrect the thread. I mean, we are talking ROTTEN.(you AZ/CAL guys have no idea) It was a similar tractor that didn't go for huge dollars(I think $4500??

    Homemade Brush guard.

I like it - a lot ! Reminds me of a warrior in battle with his shield out front of him. I will do something similar this coming summer.

HST Issue - Jerky Motion - SOLVED

I don't know for certain how "fast" you need to see these changes in PWM (or intermittent electrical) , but if you can't afford an oscilloscope don't overlook the possibility of using a good ol' analog voltmeter (physical needle). Anytime I am diagnosing a rapid intermittent in electrical ccts...

Artillian pallet fork frame issue w/BX23S.

I don't know a thing about Artillian, but yeah, that was going to be my guess too. A relatively common issue to have the 2 "halves" of your FEL 's SSQA adapter plate to become slightly twisted and then implements won't fit exactly the same on both sides. Even I twisted mine ever so slightly -...
