Yeah, I'm sure there are much more secure methods. The bungee mod is about a 10 minute job drilling the holes in the levers.

One of you fellows here gave me the idea of drilling a hole in each SSQA lever and using a bungee to hold the levers down. You can get it really tight with a bungee. Of course, a grill guard is a a good idea too, even without the grapple.

Many people make those from those plastic totes that have the metal cages around them. They cut open one side and configure it much like the one you have pictured. I have been meaning to get one to do that.

I'm originally from central Alabama and Osage trees were very common. I live in north Alabama now and rarely see them up here. I never considered eating one.
