L2501 misfires almost dies when throttle opened up from idle

I just posted this on another thread. My L2501 has about 100 hours and started running rough last week while tilling a field. The engine finally quit and I wondered if it were a lift pump issue like I had read about. I unscrewed the fuel bowl slightly to see it fill up, so I was thinking maybe...

    2015 L3301 sputters and dies

I just learned the hard way last week about fuel microbes...even though I have seen talk of it here many times. My tractor started sputtering and quit. I pulled the fuel line to the tank at the fuel filter and it was clogged. I was able to blow the debris back into the tank, crank the tractor...

    Input on grapple mod

Yeah, I'm sure there are much more secure methods. The bungee mod is about a 10 minute job drilling the holes in the levers.

    Input on grapple mod

One of you fellows here gave me the idea of drilling a hole in each SSQA lever and using a bungee to hold the levers down. You can get it really tight with a bungee. Of course, a grill guard is a a good idea too, even without the grapple.

    Is there a rake attachment?

I have a landscape rake and recently tried to use it to rake up cut grass in my field before tilling. It did a very poor job on raking up the grass. Like Fordtech suggested, I felt like a pine needle rake would have done a better job, but don't know for sure. I just wouldn't recommend a...

    L2502 vs L3902

I won't disagree with you on that, and will say I tried to do the very same thing before I bought the L2501. Here, you couldn't find used machines. I would have loved something like a 40 series. I am sure there were some out there when I was shopping, but I looked diligently and finally gave up...

    L2502 vs L3902

I can't speak to the elevation affecting your tractor. I'm at 555 feet here. I will say from my experience, you're not going to do anything fast on a L2501, or L2502 in this case. I did not want the DPF and wanted just a simple tractor and settled for the L2501 over the L3901. It wasn't really...

    Pallet Fork Platform

Many people make those from those plastic totes that have the metal cages around them. They cut open one side and configure it much like the one you have pictured. I have been meaning to get one to do that.

    Off Road Diesel?

I remember someone here modded their seat so it would sit further back. I remember, because I thought I might have to do the same thing, but I have had no issues with room on my BH77. And offroad diesel, besides no tax, also has dye in it. Red dye is all I have ever seen. It is so "they" can...

    Mower deck greasing

This probably won't help you, but this is where the zerk is on my gearbox. It is on the opposite side of the deck discharge chute.

    Mower deck greasing

It sounds like everyone has said what needs to be said. My zero turn deck is similar. I have a zerk for my gear box. Your gear box also holds oil and should be checked. I can use UDT or 10W30 in my gear box. The holes on the spindles under the deck are a grease weep hole. You are supposed to...

A green tractor question...well, sort of.

Yes. What has happened so far is I was given a refund. The lady of the merchant that contacted me via eBay instructed me to leave the tank in the box outside so the carrier, which was UPS, could inspect it. This is the message: "Thank you. We will contact the carrier to process your claim...
