    Which types of grease?

I remember the Brylcream greased hair days when I was a kid. I’m glad that went out of style.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thank you. I think I’m going to buy the steel tank at TSC, the fill-rite rotary hand pump, and the filters you’re using.

    Which types of grease?

Sounds like many of us receive tractors from the dealer that are different from recommended. My dealer said they use polyurea on everything. And many others do likewise.

    Which types of grease?

Well there’s lots of grease mixing and we don’t hear of failures due to this. I called the dealer and they use polyurea grease. So do they come shipped from the factory with lithium grease and the dealer is adding polyurea?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I want to set up a tank just like this. Do you have links to your pump and filters?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I’ve also been considering buying a steel or aluminum tank and adding my own filters and pump. I’m actually ok with a hand pump. Keeps it simple.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Do you like your John Dow tank? How goes it compare to the Vevor models if anyone knows?

    Which types of grease?

There’s no need to mix greases. When changing grease types, just continue to fill the zerk with the new grease until the old grease is completely expelled.

What's up with some new members?

Let’s not drag education levels into this. There are plenty of people who are both well educated and poorly educated who have no public relations skills, and some who are just *sswholes. And I will add that this applies to both young and old people on this forum.

    Which types of grease?

I use the Lucas green heavy duty equipment grease for everything. It’s polyurea based and supposed to be compatible with all uses (roller pins and bearings). It doesn’t wash out easily, but it does cost a few bucks more per tube.

    Fall was short this year

I just got the garden harvested two weeks ago and shredded. And all the summer outdoor rugs and patio things put away. Good timing this year. I still haven’t removed the cutter and installed the blade on the tractor, but we’re basking in the warm weather for the next two weeks in TX and LA on...

    Fall was short this year

Summer lasted through mid-October, and the 2 1/2 weeks of fall weather was nice. Then winter showed up this week, with another 10-12” forecast for today, and more tonight.

    seeding after land clearing

One old native grass seeding trick is to mix in some winter wheat or rye with the native grass seed, then drag it to cover the seed. The grain crop provides a cover to establish the native grass, but wheat or rye doesn’t persist forever like oats. After a couple of years, the grain is gone and...

    The cost of getting old

Free money from where? That was years ago. Contractors are all booked up months in advance with big projects and it’s hard to find anyone to do small projects.

    Building a bike rack

Just mount a receiver hitch to the vehicle. There are many cheap and very serviceable receiver hitch bike racks on the market. Some for less than $150.

    seeding after land clearing

And you are talking about something more involved than what I was suggesting. You can simply ask Cooperative extension service or NRCS to come look at your land and make recommendations on seeding and provide technical information with no agreements at all. They are service organizations, not...

    Autumn

I have a lot of cottonwood trees and they all are in various stages of fall. Some have lost leaves completely, some are golden, and one large tree by the house is still green. The locust trees have lost their leaves, and the fruit orchard is still changing colors. It’s been a warm fall this year.
