BX HST FAN REPLACEMENT: The easiest way

I think you have it backwards. If the fan blades are completely symmetrical they will push/pull the same in either direction. My ceiling fans are bi directional and the blades are symmetrical. I know if blades are NOT symmetrical you're not supposed to change the rotation direction because it...

Kubota L175 starter makes noise when I connect negative battery cable and key is off

When you first post a thread at the bottom of your post "box" underneath the attach files portion there is a small box labeled "watch this thread". If you check that box you should get notifications in your profile of replies. Under that box is another box labeled "and receive email...

    ZD28 Voltage Regulator Trigger Voltage

That is providing a reference voltage to the resistors that are controlling the voltage.

    ZD28 Voltage Regulator Trigger Voltage

It's not "trigger" voltage in this case, it's feedback voltage. The resistors use it to help control the voltage regulator output. "Trigger" voltage is when you need power to create a magnet, as I explained in my previous post. I should have read the schematic before I opened my mouth. Sorry...

    BX23S won't start, safety switch?

Sounds like the solenoid for the starter isn't working

    ZD28 Voltage Regulator Trigger Voltage

The basic gist is, When you pass wires through a magnetic field (or pass a magnetic field across wires) it creates electricity. The more wires and the stronger the magnetic field the more electricity you make. Your alternator stator (think of it as a sleeve made up of a bunch of wires wound...

is it worth trying to find a bucket for my 1990's B1550?

I don't know what works or what's available for your tractor, however you may want to consider something that has the ability to mount a skid steer quick attach, so you can easily use implements other than just a bucket.

    Look what followed me home

I bet those bigger lift cylinders made a difference!

Zd21 diesel not cranking and wire melting

I'm not sure what you're trying to say? I don't think the 22g wire can handle 15 amps, and I know it sure won't be able to hand 100 amps. The 14 gauge won't be able to handle 100 amps either. Basic DC wiring here. Nothing fancy.

Zd21 diesel not cranking and wire melting

For the record, the bulb (or any load) example is if they're in series ( in line with each other). Parallel is different. But that's for another day. ------O-----O----- Bulbs in series -----O----- -----O----- Bulbs in parallel. The wires would be connected at the ends.

Zd21 diesel not cranking and wire melting

I'm sorry but you're wrong. That IS always true. Current flow (amps) is the same throughout the entire circuit. If you add resistance anywhere in the circuit, you lower current flow in the entire circuit. If part of your battery cable is corroded that lowers current flow through the entire...

    Rear Remotes For a BX23S

The BX23S seat only rotates on one side. When facing front it only rotates clockwise, so the rear passes on the left side. *At least mine does. I don't know if that's for all years, though I would guess it is?*

Zd21 diesel not cranking and wire melting

These are both indisputable truth. If you think they're not you need to go back and freshen up on your electrical theory..... These are the potential things causing the OPs problem. There's a small chance something else is, but I doubt it. So not indisputable truth per se, but a true...

    Rear Remotes For a BX23S

I added some pictures and fixed a couple of things in the above post. There's actually a decent amount of room on the right side of the ROPs to mount valves. You should be able to attach a mount to the ROPs so the valves are a little closer to the side of the seat for easy access.

    BX23S Hood Release Not Releasing

You have to kind of pull up and back. Not just straight back. It's not the greatest design. Took me a little while to get used to. *I guess orientation would help (thanks Paul!). If you're standing at the side of the tractor facing the latch, pull up as you pull it towards yourself. I had a...

Zd21 diesel not cranking and wire melting

There's some misconception here. The solenoid doesn't spin. It's simply a large switch that controls a large amount of current. The solenoid is controlled by a small amount of current from the ignition switch. When the ignition switch closes it allows low current to flow and close the...

    Rear Remotes For a BX23S

There's not a lot of real estate on the 23S. Especially if you have a third function kit plumbed into the loader valve already, there's not a lot of space under there to run lines away from moving /hot parts. Not to mention extra fittings potentially needed to get around things. I would think...

    Rear Remotes For a BX23S

It may be easier plumbing wise to run them directly off the pump feed that comes out the rear? Using the hose that feeds the backhoe, just disconnect backhoe and hook up to your valve(s)? Power beyond from them to the loader valve? Especially if you already have a 3rd function/diverter valve...

I forgot to release hydraulic pressure when disconnecting my BX23S backhoe. What do I do now?

You don't need any special tools or fittings, just cover one of the connections with a rag and slowly loosen. If there's a JIC fitting that's your best bet, no rubber to possibly damage.

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

I've had a couple of instances where I wished the bucket could go higher. I also wish I had a little more height for my post hole auger. The tip of a 3? foot auger is in the dirt with the loader at full height and frame curled fully down (where it's supposed to be).
