Picked up a 25gal trailer sprayer....

Nice buy on the little sprayer. Over the years I have burned and help burn a lot of brush piles, control burns on pastures and CRP land. Little sprayers like the one you bought has many times kept fires from getting out of hand. No matter how you plan a controlled burn some times it gets...

    Ignorance is bliss.

Its like a old trucker friend of mind used to say. Its nothing some money won't fix. He used to really like those nice new Peterbilt trucks. I go to a dealer to pickup parts I don't do any wondering around. Too easy to spend some money.

    Friend Wants to Trade....

I am sorry to hear about your husband. I wouldn't make the trade. You know the tractor you have now. I would take the tractor out in open areas and operate it and get used to it. I would look into getting a SSQA adaptor installed on the loader and the plates installed on your current bucket and...

    Finish Mower

I have a friend that has run a 72 inch finish mower on a tractor with a lot less HP than yours for years with no issues. All he has is hills on his acreage. With that low of hours on that tractor it has set a lot. Maybe you have a fuel filter or a fuel strainer problem or a air filter issue.

    L6060 Tractor and Post Driver?

Years ago {35} I had a Shaver post driver mounted on the front of a JD 3010. We set it up with a hyd side shift and a hyd tilt which in my area you need we have a lot of off chamber ground to put post in. It worked pretty well most of the time. Sold the tractor and driver after I got my first...

Where are you listing your equipment to sell.

Since your in no hurry. I would list it on Facebook and Craigslist. You have some nice equipment there and once you weed out the BS you will find the cash buyers. You have to have some thick skin but nice stuffs still will sell for good money.

    New tractor buyer

If money wise you can swing this set up its the way I would go. I ran a three point snow blower for years when we lived on another farm we own with a 1/2 mile of drive way and back then we had cattle and moved a fair amount of snow for them. I would never have a three point snow blower again...

    M7060HD12 Vs MF 4707

A few years back I bought a new Grasshopper mower with a [Kubota} diesel engine that was brand new but was three years old with zero hours. Mower had been inside the whole time. There are still building that model today. I bought it because it was thousands less than a current model year one...

    Log skidding winch

I have done a lot of pasture, timber cleaning on farms over the years and I can't think of a harder way to use a tractor than doing forest work and skidding logs. I would walk away from that tractor I would run. I don't care how careful you are with brush and tress they are hard on equipment...

Where are you listing your equipment to sell.

It is going to depend on your time line of getting these sold and if you want to deal with folks. Auction time and Big Iron have sales every week and seem to do a good job for buyer and seller. They have there fees. I have had good luck over the years buying and selling on Craig's list and...

    M7060HD12 Vs MF 4707

I haven't been around either of the models that have been talked about. Here are my thoughts on Massey. It pretty green around this farm but I do have a Kubota MX6000 and really like it. My problem with Massey is like a lot of folks years ago I got caught when Massey went belly up and was...

For the times when you don't want an electrical circuit to be fused ... and a new tool

mcmxi I have had a crimping tool with many sets of dies for years. Have built a lot of battery cables and cables for high output alts. I always use the heat shrink with the liner. If you want to see a wiring starting cable mess Google up series parallel starting. Back in the day {50's 60's} a...

Best place to buy accessories for a Kubota RTV 1100C

Good advice that was one of the first things I added. I always have a few extra extinguishers in the shop so one went under the seat right away. Thanks to everyone that has replied. Looks like I will be spending some money at the dealers for the accessories that I need. Looking on the net it...

Best place to buy accessories for a Kubota RTV 1100C

Thanks for the link. I had found them. Just looking to see if anyone had found any other sources other than Dealers. The other brands of Side by sides seem to have a lot more true aftermarket accessories.

Best place to buy accessories for a Kubota RTV 1100C

So we finally got a rain and spraying is on hold for a while. Time to turn attention to the new Kubota RTV 1100c that has just been setting in the shed. Looked on the old internet and there doesn't seem to be a lot of company's selling many accessories for the Kubota's side by sides. Found some...

    Mx6000 vs M6060

My main question is how many hours a year are you going to put on the tractor? If you are going to be doing hundreds of hours of bush hogging. I would go with the M6060 and save up and get a cab on it. I do hundreds of hours a year bat wing mowing but I use a cabbed tractor. Wouldn't think of...

    MX5400 or M6060

I spend hundreds of hours a year spraying. Both units I spray with are HST my big SP sprayer and my MX6000. I would never go back to running a sprayer with a gear drive tractor or any thing else. I would give a MX6000 a good look at for your needs.

Carryall made from leaf blower and porch leftovers

Nice job on the Carryall. You will find buggee cords are your friend to keep ideas in the Carryall. The only thing I see that needs to be done right away is to put a Kubota orange paint job on that tractor. LOL.

    R 14 Tires

I have a MX6000 open station with the R4 tires I do have iron weighs but no juice in the tires. I road my MX a lot in the summer spot spraying. Gravel, black top and concrete. I don't notice any different vibrations on it than any other tractor I have and road. Every year I say I am going to...
