Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

Thanks for sharing that B737. I read it over. It seems the 238 is excellent for things like loader greasing, but due to its 5% moly compound and tackyness, isn't recommended for automotive wheel bearings. The paper does mention use in bearings in other places though, so Im just curious.... Do...

Anybody else getting a bumper crop of these?

I have always read that mushrooms are a good indication of healthy, fertile rich soil.

Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

I hear you 737. I looked hard at red n tacky as I said above, but I really do not like the issue with it seperating after a period of time. Red N' Tacky is known to start leaking its red oil over time, which oozes out of the grease gun, drips on everything and makes a mess. As someone who often...

Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

Thanks for all the input guys, appreciate it. Does anyone here by chance use Schaeffer's grease? They have several different options. I've read a lot of good things about it. I want to get a grease and stick with it. My grease I use now however has been sold out for a while, and doesn't seem...

    Air filter service light issue?

If you have an inner and outer filter. Perhaps pull one of the two off and see if the behavior changes. Obviously dont go throw the tractor in dusty conditions during that test but just to see if it is indeed not getting proper air flow.

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

Right. I would go with the loader spike without hesitation personally. I would actually be surprised if the tractor had any trouble at all with these bales. When you spear a bale, and tilt it back, most of that weight will be right near the lifting pin locations. Every inch you move closer to...

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

I have an L2501, and I move 5' round bales, but I use a 3pt spear, and that of course moves them without any issue at all. I would bet the L2501 would move the bale for you with the loader. I gather this because I have lifted some really big, heavy logs many many times and moved them to my...

Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

Thanks for the input tom. I have looked extensively at Lucas's Red n tacky and their other greases as well. Red n tacky is perhaps the most popular grease out there. I decided not to go with it as it does have a known history of separating over time, causing red oil to leak out of the grease gun...

Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

Thanks for your input william. I really was curious what the worst case scenario is for greases that are wholly incompatible. One article I was reading on this topic mentioned that incompatible greases can thin, so I would assume that would simply mean they wouldnt potentially lubricate as well...

    L2501 Hydro Clutch noise

My L2501 has the same rattle/ fast clicking noise when sitting at idle without the clutch depressed. I actually made a thread on here about it a while back, because I have noticed that the noise actually gets a little worse after the tractor has gotten really warm - for example, after pulling my...

Switching grease and pondering compatibility issues

Hello all. I havent been around here much lately. The grease I had been using on my L2501 and variouns implements has become hard to buy, perhaps due to covid, and so I am changing greases. Ive done a lot of research and went back and forth on which product to go with. Ive researched every major...

    Jobs everywhere, no workers.....

Im really late following up on these posts, but I wanted to make one quick point here that I think is quite valid to your reply. You do make some good points here regarding these three island countries. One massive advantage all 3 countries you mention here have is that you essentially have to...

    Quick Hitch Solutions

Harbor Freight sells the same generic quick hitch you often see on amazon. Its around $100, and has adjustable top hook. The adjustable top hook in my experience is critical. I routinely have to adjust mine on my QH15.

    What's wrong with my corn?

After looking at the pictures my first gut reaction was either herbicide or frost. It could be disease, but the fact that healthy plants are sitting right next to dead ones is interesting. I know we have had a very mild spring here in florida. Just this past weekend we had 47 degrees and 48...

    Jobs everywhere, no workers.....

We are living the fruits of what I predicted would happen back over a year ago when we started shutting down everything over covid. I remember in several conversations repeating the same thing - That shutting down everything would not help us with covid, it would just add a 2nd pain, that being...

For what its worth, I didnt have to cut the shaft at all on my Kubota L2501. I use it on the QH15 quick hitch. It fits perfectly with this setup.

    SideCar Flip ?

Yea, I've only been on these forums like a year and a half off and on, and Sidecar was one person I had several run ins with. He was quick to respond to something, with often inaccurate or wrong advice I felt, but I've seen others give what I felt was poor advice. I think what got him banned...

Switches with little or no marks

The orange buttons are related to the DPF regeneration. The green button I'm not sure, I found a similar instrument panel picture showing a green button with what looks like a light image and "FS" on it. Here is a pic from elsewhere on the forums to help you solve the mystery.

PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

I use the bottom crate for storage of the unit as well like many here. The outer shell I took out back and use it currently as a little burn bin. We burn all our paper/cardboard based trash so I haul it back and dump it in this thing and it works to just kinda hold it like a burn cage. I doubt...
