    L2501 service oil change

Yes 10W-30 is fine in the L2501. I just did my first maintenance a few weeks ago on my L2501. I used Rotella T6 15W-40 fully synthetic. Im in the south where it never snows or gets super cold, so Ill use this oil full time.

    Transmission overfilled

Im with the others. I would factor in a full fluid/filter maintenance cost for any used equipment I purchased. Not only will this give you peace of mind that you have all the fluids right and properly filled, but it gives you a chance to look at the fluid and filters and perhaps make some...

    Cordless Grease Guns

Good to hear that. I may consider it. I have a lot of dewalt 20v tools and 4 or 5 batteries and 2 chargers, so the grease gun would fit in well. Ill think on it. Its just a tad expensive for the amount I grease.

    Cordless Grease Guns

Yea i realize my concern seems kinda silly but... If I cant "feel" that greese with the pump, i feel like I would wonder if Im actually greasing properly. What if something happened and it just wasnt putting out grease properly and I go around hitting 20 zerks and cant tell? With the manual one...

    Cordless Grease Guns

I've thought of getting one myself but I always wondered - Is it easy to get a feel for how much grease you're pumping in? With the standard ones you can kinda feel the resistance in the handle and feel how much is being pumped. Also - how do you tell when you're getting low? Again, with the...

    What is this?

a blurry, out of focus picture of rocks and old twisted/rusted nails in a glass bowl. Why do you ask?

    OK Im gona whine

We dont have chipmunks here in florida, so I have no experience with them. I was just going to suggest a poultry type electric fence. Im not sure if chipmunks would respect this, or just go under it or what. You could put it in, with a solar fence charger. It installs in just a few minutes, and...

Price for set of R4 tires and rims for 2019 L2501 4wd

quick search online suggests the rear tires are roughly $350 - $400 each. Front tires around $150ish each. So maybe ball park around $1100 for a set ? Im not sure if that includes the wheel/rims, but probably not. Do some searching online. Here are your tire sizes: front: 27x8.50-15 (4WD)...

    Battery life

speaking of tractor batteries, Ive noted in my L2501 owners manual, under maintenance, when going over the greasing maintenance the battery terminals is one of the items listed to grease. Ive never seen this talked about anywhere. I check my terminals every time I pop the hood to check my...

    L3010 Three Point Hitch

So 3pt was working fine, you changed hydraulic oil filter and oil, then it was not working ? I would go back over everything I done during that maintenance. Changing oil and filter should not cause this issue. We have to break it down to what the root cause of the malfunction is - which is...

    Kubota l3130 slowing down

yea I wouldnt expect a fuel delivery issue. If it was an issue with fuel or air delivery you would hear the engine choking down, dropping rpm's or shutting off completely. If the engine is purring right on like a cat, then its clearly not fuel/air I think

2380 wont turn bushhog fast enough to cut

I would check the pto of the tractor and see if it is actually increasing in speed as you throttle up. You can do this with just basic observation. One idea I had to perhaps check it is put a zip tie around the pto shaft, so you have a little excess sticking out 1-2 inches. You can use that as a...

    Oversized LPGS for L2501?

Nice. Land Planes I think are easier to pull that box blades or harrows. Thats just my calculation given land planes dont dig in as bad or offer as much resistance - they can often glide on top of the ground. Ive shared this numerous times before but I pull a 76" (6 foot 3 inches) disc harrow...

    Need some chainsaw guidance please

While chainsaws will get some of this gunk, it shouldnt be accumulating this fast. If you are getting just tons of gunk then you really need to look at the oiling system of the saw. Lots of this matted gunk is often caused by lots of oil - inefficient oil. If you've got clogging issues then you...

New clicking noise just showed up. L2501

Yea I posted in that thread also. I went and dug and found that thread and watched that guys video again. Sounds very much like my video. In that thread I spoke about mine making a similar noise. I think today it just cought me off guard for some reason as it just seemed louder, and the sound...

New clicking noise just showed up. L2501

Its an HST. The noise continues with PTO engaged and disengaged. I dont feel like its with the PTO I drove up and parked it in the garage and began ivestigating more. Inside the garage as I listened I almost feel like perhaps it has always made this noise. I always remembered the noise sounding...

New clicking noise just showed up. L2501

Went back out after 20 minutes and cranked the tractor again. It was still warm. Clicking was harder to hear now but still a noticable. The best place to hear it I found is if I put my head right at the tredle peddle on the right side. I cant hear it very well at all from under the tractor. The...

New clicking noise just showed up. L2501

54 hours on machine. Never had an issue. I worked i t perhaps harder today than I ever have. Most of my 50 hours have been loader work, lots of heaving lifting and moving, some usage on a disc harrow. Today however I broke gound on a brand new garden spot for next year. It was former horse...
