Not true. Two speed mechanism along with torque limiting clutch is in front axle housing on right side. Mechanism is connected to steering linkage so as to shift Bi-Speed mechanism depending upon steering angle. Front axle assembly much different from tractors without Bi-Speed Turn.

These two tractors are not designed for the same market segment and are comparable in few areas only. Based upon your current and future intended purposes, I strongly recommend the 7060 or larger.

Do yourself a BIG favor and use an impact wrench with 6 point socket. I broke a 1/2" breaking bar trying to remove mine but it whizzed right out with an impact wrench.

As TOH has already posted, both are conventional threads. Turn anti-clockwise to remove. Both are installed very tightly at the factory. Remove the wheels and use an impact wrench with six point socket to remove. You will want to have new O rings for both on hand.
