Goes with our “Back to the’80’s” themed exhibit.
Did someone say 80's? While not a classic for a lot of you older guys, it's definitely a classic for those in my generation. My '85 Supra, all stock, original paint:

Hey - - that defines as a "classic" now. Over 25 years old. Hard to find originals from that era! (y)

Crazy that it's 40 years old at this point. My county qualifies it as a collector now and my taxes on it went up 40x when it hit that threshold.

I've heard some horror stories about personal property taxes.

New York State doesn't have them.....they've found 100 other ways to take our $$....

Not worthy of a new thread - - might need some help....

I should ask the question on another forum, but one the usual suspects is one that scorned me a little when I was a "new guy."

I know there's some folks here that bleed Farmall Red.

Our next themed exhibit is "Farm to Market."

A mix of tractors and what would have been farm trucks.

I'm working on "Story Boards" for a few of the tractors.

One I'm stuck on is a Farmall Super AV.

We always specify number produced......therein lies the problem.

TractorData.com lists Super AV total at 10,300+, but I see the same for the Super A. Appears the AV is lumped in with the A's....

Other references show the Super AV at 3,600 or so, or about a third of the A series total......

Does it sound like the 3,600 is a good approximation of the total 10,300?

Reach out to Kenneth Updike, you can find him on Facebook or the Red Power Magazine. Ken has done tremendous amount of research and is the leading IH guru on IH tractor information and writes for Red Power and writes books about IH.

Still working on Story Boards for "Farm to Market" Exhibit - -

Don't need help with these - - just thought you guys might get a kick out of them:

Allis Chalmers G
Model T Huckster
Case 530 Tractor (gas) - - I know @D2Cat has a 730
Ford Econoline Pickup
Model A Pickup
Studebaker M5 Pickup

Nothing has shown up yet.

We'll change the '80's Exhibit to Farm to Market late-May to early-June.

Will also change out about half the Post-War Exhibit (~20).

Got a great set of Chevy Tri-5's coming. 55, 56, 57 Chevies. Same owner. Beautiful cars.

@skeets - - if I see anything MOPAR come into the post-War, I'll make sure to get a photo for you! ;)

Pictures please. Growing up on a farm, we had a Case 930, 1030 and 580ck. The 580 was the 580 backhoe but setup as a farm tractor with 3 point hitch, PTO and hydraulic remotes with no loader or backhoe. That was one tough little tractor.

@BAP - - you bet. I'll post some pictures.

I'll certainly get the Case 530! (y) Not sure, but I think it's a gas tractor, not diesel.

My Minneapolis Moline ZAU won't be a part of it. It's not of the caliber/condition we're looking for.

Will be a month or so before the exhibits are put together.

Growing up as kids....my brother and I raised an acre or two of onions to sell for our spending money. An Allis Chalmers "G" was our cultivator tractor. That machine was a blast to drive to and from the onion patch and made cultivating between the rows a breeze. Sure beat hoeing by hand and having to use the little manual push cultivator!

My old 86 Yota. Aquired several years ago from a customer when she was on her last leg.....as with most of my junk lol.
20170113_075222.jpg

Ended up putting a reman 22r from jasper in her. Along with several other goodies.

20180714_104431.jpg

I've got a long history with hondas (before fast and furious movies) and lowered trucks. So everntually had to start playing with her a bit. Drop spindles, 3" blocks, belltech sway bars front and rear. Truck corners like its on rails.
20180920_152907.jpg

20200407_151627.jpg

Ended up hitting a coyote in her a few years ago, smashed the front up pretty good. Put a 90+ front bumper and valience on her and let the youngin pick out the front lighting.

These days shes "yard art" until I can get a shop built. Try to take her to work a couple times a month. Cleans up good, but looks terrible right now.
