Anyone know the size of the blower “fan” shear pin off hand? Had a few I thought were correct but these don’t fit the flange holes… I’ll be heading to my Kubota parts store in a bit to check mine against what they have…Merry Christmas all!

Dealer replaced my first one under warranty but soon after the new one started getting moisture inside as well. All gauges still work however! I should try the “holes hack” 😊

I go by sound, feel and performance. 3000 rpm is normal range for me ( for snowblowing) if I need to, I boost it up…

That’s fine! You do you! 2500 is idling speed for my old BX25D!

Went to swap my skid shoes during snowblowing the other day and the bolts/nylok nuts were frozen in place so I had to blow my gravel driveway with the blower elevated a bit (wanted to pack down the snow for future storms anyways) Today I set about removing them with heat, breaker bar, etc., and...

Speaking of 5450s and 5455s mine is backed into my garage with the pan and battery heaters plugged in…good 12 hour snowstorm is upon us in central NH.

Obviously, you’d remove it when blowing slushy, wet snow, right? That’s when my clogging problems happened!

Yup! First thing I removed on my 5455HD!

And maybe a fart or two? 🤣

I have to get my butt in gear and put my snowblower on my BX and my plow on the Mule! Snow will fly at some point here in NH!

Grease and oil! Doesn’t matter which to me (or my BX) going on 15 years and she has never let me down! 🤣 Even has the original battery! Now I’ve gone and jinxed myself! 🤔
