    Daily Chuckle

A man goes to the doctor and complains that his wife cant hear him. How bad is it? the doctor asks. I have no idea, the husband says. Well, please test her. Stand 20 feet away from her and say something. If she doesn’t hear you, get closer and say the same thing. Keep moving closer and closer...

Help with B7100 front 4x4 axle

In my years of experience, if I had a pin that gave me trouble taking grease, as long as it wasn't the zerk, unless I took it out and cleaned the passages, just forcing it to take grease meant you were going to have trouble with it taking grease again in the future. Do it right and be done with it.

    BX transmission cooling fan

Although the fan is in good shape on my BX, I have thought about 3D printing a 2 piece fan to replace it if it ever failed. Wonder why i took so long to finally come up with something that obvious.

    CORN!

When I tore my Nova apart for restoration, there was a nest in the heater box and they had chewed up the plastic blower fan to where it was unusable. The metal housing was full of pinholes eaten in it by mouse pee.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Fired up the BX this afternoon, had to haul eight bags of water softener salt to the basement door. I wasn't sure the F150 would go through the snow in the yard to do it, but the BX in 4WD plowed right through, no problem.

Is there anything that your wife or partner did or said many years ago that still makes you laugh decades later?

Yeah, when we were married in 1970, she said she'd never leave me. She left in 1981. Came back in '85 and left again in '87.

    Time for a compressor.

I have a Quincy QT-5, 5 HP 2 cylinder that I bought 30 years ago, and other than changing the oil, tightening the belt and new intake filter it has been trouble free. I also put an automatic drain valve on the bottom that purges every time the compressor runs. I agree with Wolfman, get a cast...

Tools you want to brag about?

I have a couple of 3/8" drive Snap-On round head ratchets, a short handle and a long handle, that I've had for going on 35 years. I have used and abused them a lot in that time, and they are still working just fine. Every now and then I soak the heads in Marvel Mystery Oil to lubricate them. I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I used the BX last week to clear some wet, sloppy snow, and Tuesday I noticed the RF tire was flat, again. Took it off and took it to the tire shop, picked it up yesterday and put it back on, which was SO EASY since I installed studs in the hub. Slipped it on, started the lug nuts and ran them...
