Just pick up a 1200 series rotary cutter from Ironcraft with slip clutch.
My question is does the eccentric bolt that goes to attach the pto to the geat box after the slop clutch, does that act as a sheer bolt?
Does it pay to ha e one on hand

Why would you need a shear bolt with a slip clutch?

Not if the gear box input is splined or keyed.

If you're talking about the pin/button you push down to get the PTO shaft to slip onto the gearbox splines, then no. It should pop up when the PTO shaft is pushed all the way on. It rides in the groove in the splined shaft on the gearbox and is what keeps the PTO shaft connected to the gearbox. ptc.jpg
