Considering a longer trailer for use on the farm (12ft utility a little short for some things) so I'm looking at stepping up to something that would also haul my L3902 w/LA526 loader if needed. Would be a receiver hitch trailer. Would like a tilt bed and a winch. What length should I consider? Is a 16ft adequate? Thanks.

You could probably get by with a 16’ but a 18-20’ would be much better and allow for better load positioning.
You could barely squeeze it onto a 16ft but I would also recommend going at least an 18ft trailer. I would really personally almost go with 20-22ft, that way you can have a 3pt attachment (depending on length) as well.
I make due with a tandem 18' deck space. Plus tongue i guess they might call it a 20' trailer not sure how they measure these days? long enough to get tongue weight ok.
I have an L3940 with loader. I also own 16 ft. and 20 ft. trailers. The tractor is too much weight for the 16 ft. trailer and it will sway on you if you are not careful. I always trailer my L3940 on the 20 ft. trailer. Be safe and go with a 20 ft. trailer.

I have had deck over trailers and low profile trailers.
Now I have bought a tilt deck trailer that has 23 feet of deck. 18 feet tilts and 5 feet at the front is fixed. So far I like this trailer the best for moving my tractor around. It also has a spot for a winch at the front of the fixed deck. There is a roller on the end of the tilt deck so the cable doesn't cut into the frame or damage the cable.
My plane is to install a hydraulic jack instead of the manual crank jack. Also will switch it to a power tilt instead of a gravity tilt.
I say go with a large enough trailer so you can get the loads positioned correctly.
This trailer is a 14,000 pound trailer.

I've never wished the 18' was in stock that I was hoping to buy, as the only trailer they had was a 20' and I bought it ... Never wanted smaller since then, even with my SCUT!
Once you add a rear attachment,you will be glad you have the length! Forks on mine, plus a 5' brush hog, and the tail wheel just barely hangs off the back!
I was in a hurry when I bought it, didn't have time for them to schedule adding the optional brakes on the second axle ... I just got what I hope I need to update the other axle so I have 4 wheel brakes on it ...

Yep. I had to move up to a 30ft trailer to get my tractor and implement on.
The Kaufman gooseneck is the best trailer I've ever owned from the perspective of flexibility and towing experience. It tows as straight as an arrow at any speed and is incredibly stable which in part is down to the tandem dually axles.I'd never buy a deck over tilt trailer again. I had a 22ft PJ version and I just didn't get along with it. I really liked the MidSota 22ft equipment trailer I had and probably shouldn't have sold it. I would recommend 22ft equipment trailer for just about anyone assuming that you have enough truck to pull it around when loaded up.
Currently I'm down to a 16ft tandem axle dump trailer, a 10ft single axle dump trailer, the Kaufman 30ft gooseneck, a 10ft CargoPro aluminum trailer, the Coyote boat trailer and a rolling chassis trailer that used to live under a crappy camper an ex girlfriend left behind. I really want a dedicated dump trailer to pull behind the tractors, something from Berkelmans Welding.

Here's my first MX6000 on the 22ft MidSota. There's enough room to get the tractor positioned in the "perfect" spot, even with an implement. It was a bit on the short side for the MX6000 with the RCR1884 though. Not sure why I had the bucket on the front that day.
As Jsjac suggested if you buy a tilt bed be sure to get one with at least 4' in front of the tilt. This allows you to put an implement up there and still get off the trailer to put another implement on the loader.

I regularly tow my L2501 with the loader/grapple and BH attached on my 16 footer. (7K with double axles…..with brakes on both)
However, I bought the trailer “pre-tractor” and would have gone bigger/longer had I known. Maybe 21-22’ish feet? 10K’ish????
The biggest problem is the “bush hog” (AKA rotary cutter). I can’t trailer that combo. It’s too long.
So, although it technically “works”, it’s sort of a compromise.
I don't need a “tilt”, but it might be nice for certain situations.
My “fork pockets” that I put on the side are the “cat’s meow” though…..love those things for saving room…..Now I always have my forks in a convenient spot. I can’t recommend them enough.
