Hello All!
Wanted to say hello as a New member here with a L2502 purchased new in 2024, I had rather gotten used to the smoke with this machine being it’s not a diesel engine with emissions equipment, but with the cold starts here in Michigan without a block heater although I was able to fire up at any temp I did think that the smoke was a bit excessive.. and so an internet search revealed my model had a Technical service bulletin for this issue. I verified with my dealer yesterday, and they are ordering parts for me. If I read correctly there are shims in this fuel pump which if they remove one or more of them this advances the fuel timing to help more complete the power stroke without wasting as much fuel out the exhaust? Not sure how much more power I should gain or RPM? Does anyone have some information who might have had this done already on how it runs after this dealer fix?
Thank you all in advance!
