The Kid called this morning from the ranch, and after telling all about her JEEP, getting put back to OEM condition. Se then told me, my SIL just got promoted to WO 4, I dont know when he gets pinned but Im happy for them.
To those that understand
Telling all about her JEEP, getting put back to OEM condition.
I've had my '98 TJ (4.0L 5-speed) for more than 25 years! When I bought it, the first thing I did was install a Ramsey winch that I bought from a friend of a friend for $150 (still on the Jeep), then removed the OEM 3.07 gears and installed 4.56 gears. I had to make some special tools to do the job but 25 years later still working great. Oh yeah, I removed the rear seat and carpet, scuffed up the floor and rolled on Herculiner. That was just the beginning.I miss my JEEP, was not 78, but still. top off, doors off.![]()
Congrats to your SIL ... and whatever to your daughter! The Kid called this morning from the ranch, and after telling all about her JEEP, getting put back to OEM condition. Se then told me, my SIL just got promoted to WO 4, I dont know when he gets pinned but Im happy for them.
JT a 78 CJ 4 cylinder manual little beasty, that she has been putting back to OEM,
Actually, they threw in a new rank a few years back. Now WO5 is the top. Happened during the Gulf War, I think. If by WO4 you mean Chief Warrant Officer 4 congratulations! As high as you can go without being an Officer and that's no small task to achieve.

Listen, when our military is in another country they are effectively representing every American. Coarse language/epithets hurled at the host citizenry at any altitude should be repudiated in the strongest of terms. My cousin was a WO4, was training helicopter pilots for the Air Force down south before he retired. Used to tell me about cursing 25 feet off the roads in Nam. Scared the hell out of the locals.
