We get a lot of different birds here, favourite is the king parrot. They often fly in and sit on the chair next to me to tell me they need more seed. Beautiful.

That is awesome! Great pictures. I don't think they'd like the weather we're getting here currently.

Part of the front yard after returning from trip to town with the Kubota to clear some snow. Until the pic was uploaded I didn't notice the Kubota shadow on the snow.

Some of the king parrots here are pretty friendly. My wife took these pics of this one eating from my hand this afternoon.

More local wildlife

I spotted this lace monitor this afternoon. He wandered out of a bunch of blackberries and had climbed a tree by the time I got back with my phone.

This one is probably about a metre from nose to tail.

Dang...look at all those contrails! Do you live near a major airport? Obviously under a major air corridor!
The airports about 40 miles south of us. And we can see the flight paths.

You should see when the C130's come by 😁😁😁 They do repairs and flight training out of the airforce base 30 miles away.

We are on their flight path as well when they come in for a landing.

They come by low so you can get a good view of them.

Eating dinner with my wife and the usual evening herd of deer. I think there were 10 total tonight, including a few not in the picture.

Really cool pictures. The shuttle on the back of the jet looks like sci-fi.
It looked like sci-fi in real life. First, it appeared to fly so slowly (maybe an optical illusion) and then the 747 wings were so bowed up that you thought they were going to break.
