I'm a long distance truck driver, and a "bread head" I love bread almost as much as I love potatoes! But I'm fussy, don't like most store bought bread, I built a wood fired brick oven when I lived in Vermont, and baked 100 loaves of bread, three days a week ...
Last year I bought a bread machine to put in my truck, I eat what I prepare in my truck, no truck stop slop for me! Of course the plastic gears in the bread machine gave out 2 weeks after the one year warranty ran out, I baked bread twice a week ...
I bought a new toaster oven air fryer to bake bread in, since I know how to make bread, it's not a big deal, but do admit that the bread machine made it easy, just put the ingredients in, set it beside my seat, and 3 hours before I planned to stop for lunch, push the button ... Now it's all manual manipulation ...
This is the third load of bread I've made in it, getting it dialed in ... Just popped it in the oven!
For some reason they designed the oven to leave the light on the whole time it's going ... Almost ready to come out ...
Looks pretty good, probably could have let it rise a bit more, when I put it in the oven I hadn't pre-heated it, as I was hoping the slower warm up would help it "puff"? Didn't work, as this little oven heats up FAST!
Nothing like hot fresh bread!
I drizzle a little olive oil on it, sprinkle on some granulated garlic, black pepper, and oregano ... Yummy!
I "only" ate half the loaf ... !
