I'm a long distance truck driver, and a "bread head" I love bread almost as much as I love potatoes! But I'm fussy, don't like most store bought bread, I built a wood fired brick oven when I lived in Vermont, and baked 100 loaves of bread, three days a week ... 🤤

Last year I bought a bread machine to put in my truck, I eat what I prepare in my truck, no truck stop slop for me! Of course the plastic gears in the bread machine gave out 2 weeks after the one year warranty ran out, I baked bread twice a week ...

I bought a new toaster oven air fryer to bake bread in, since I know how to make bread, it's not a big deal, but do admit that the bread machine made it easy, just put the ingredients in, set it beside my seat, and 3 hours before I planned to stop for lunch, push the button ... Now it's all manual manipulation ...

This is the third load of bread I've made in it, getting it dialed in ... Just popped it in the oven!

For some reason they designed the oven to leave the light on the whole time it's going ... Almost ready to come out ...

Looks pretty good, probably could have let it rise a bit more, when I put it in the oven I hadn't pre-heated it, as I was hoping the slower warm up would help it "puff"? Didn't work, as this little oven heats up FAST!

Nothing like hot fresh bread!

I drizzle a little olive oil on it, sprinkle on some granulated garlic, black pepper, and oregano ... Yummy! 🤤

I "only" ate half the loaf ... !

As I get ready for my departure to this CDL school on the 22nd, If all goes well, I'll be on the road 3 weeks or so after (with a trainer) to get a real taste of the life y'all live. Gotta clear several thousand miles, then i'll head to Iowa to get assigned my own truck.

At this point, I feel like i'm fully prepared for tests, training, straping and tarping flatbeds, etc.....only one minor problem..... HOW IN THE HECK AM I GONNA FEED MYSELF LOL!?!?

I eat fast food once maybe twice a year. And that's usually the raising canes chicken place that's down the road from our church. It's about all me and my stomach can stand these days. Papa Johns or pizza hut i'd say several times a year, on occasional fridays, mostly for the kiddos. And I probably ain't walked inside a gas station for food in 15+ years.

I'm a heavy, long term cooker. And i'm not by any means usually a healthy cooker, but i do know what's generally going into my food.

The truck will have a fridge and microwave. Which the only thing I use a microwave at home for is melting butter, seriously.

Truck does have an inverter and if it will support an air fryer, which i've never been around before, i guess I could learn with that. I could do great with a hot plate if that's something that can happen inside a truck.

You must teach me the tips and tricks ole fearless leader LOL!

I have a 2000w inverter in my truck ... My most used appliance, besides the coffee maker, is a 3 cup rice cooker! But it cooks so much more than rice ... I cube potatoes (what I use it for most!), oatmeal, hard boiled eggs ... Have a 4 qt crockpot, grill, microwave (reheating, or warming water to make bread), and just got this small oven/air fryer(1400w), besides I have a fridge ...

I picked this air fryer because it has simple knobs, and lower power requirements ... https://fromourplace.com/products/wonder-oven
