It has two pumps. Cant comment on appearances. The PS pump is supplied by an external reservoir. The implement pump is supplied by the main sump.

The system will bleed itself but you may need to help the pump establish prime. Put on a clean filter and check/replace suction side hoses and clamps to make sure there are no vacuum leaks. If it still does not self prime take the top pipe off the pump and pour a liberal spoonfull of clean oil in the port.Have you ever heard of the hydraulic system needing bleeding? I don't know how long the hyd. filter has been on tractor but the fluid is clean. I'll change filter just to be sure it's ok. It has a old Fram P1653A. No sump screen or filter correct?

Serial# M5950DTF-051015. Can you tell what year it is by the serial# ?Give me the serial number of the tractor so I can see about a pump source.
