So in going through the maintenance logs of my L2850, I noticed that the Dealer had replaced the bearings and seals in the front axle. However, the left steering knuckle is leaking like crazy and Messick’s wants $72+ for one seal! I’ve found that going to a bearing house usually saves a lot of $ over the dealer prices. Any one know the dimensions ( in mm) or manufacturers numbers of those seals? Kubota Part numbers vary, but the latest appears to be 32330-99600.

Hello, what did you find out? Did you ever end up tearing down the knuckles and replacing the seals and/or bearings? Mine are leaking also. I filled the front axle housing to full on the dipstick last fall and when I checked today it was bone dry again. Looking for any kind of information before I tear into this job.

Found out nothing, I’m going to have to tear it down and get the numbers off the bearings and seals. Not going to happen until at least fall since I need to use it over the summer.

You're going to wait until fall because you figure it would take you all summer to put a couple of seals in?

No because I'm using the tractor this summer, I just refill the axle as needed. Once apart it will take at least a couple weeks to get the parts.

Then why are you asking me? Go order the parts from Kubota and do it! Be sure to ask them for some Vaseline when you get bent over!

How about trying Lucas Hub Stops Leaks? Worth a try to slow it down even.
