OK, that doesn't look like a busted tooth.....looking at picture #2.
Maybe the end of a dipstick ???
Maybe the end of a dipstick ???
It is not.I hope it is still under warranty. Looks like it could be an expensive fix.
It's definitely some sort of gear tooth. That piece is 3/4" long and has a chamfer on both ends. Doesn't look like it broke off of anything. Looks like something that fell into the system by accident.

At about 60 hours I was using a PTO mulcher and it threw a limb into the belly causing a huge hemorrhage. I immediately stopped the tractor and had a friend look under it while I bumped the starter. A banjo type fitting had come loose and that's where it was spraying from. One other thing comes to mind, is it possible that some used hydraulic fluid was added at anytime in it's life.
Or was it in for repairs anytime in it's life?
What did you find out on this ?My M7060HDC12 has 432 hours and I blew a hydraulic hose (cheap factory Gates) and since my tractor is almost 500 hours, I went ahead and did a hydraulic fluid/filter replacement.
When I took off one of the filters, this piece of metal was stuck to one of the magnets.
It kind of looks like a tooth off a ring gear.
What do y'all think?
By the way it's sitting in picture #2, it looks like it is" cut into" the gasket. Is this the first change of that filter? Maybe it came to be there during factory assembly. Wow, now I see why they put those magnets in there, looks like their full of crud.I found the same thing on mine , so wondering if you found anything more out about it. I attached some pictures.
Yes not what I wanted to find , that crud is small metel filingsWow, now I see why they put those magnets in there, looks like their full of crud.
I would guess that the filters weren't changed at the recommended 500 hours based on your photos. The hydraulic oil is supposed to be changed every 1,000 hours.Yes not what I wanted to find , that crud is small metel filingspreowned so don’t know the history hour meter around 800
I'm kind of hoping that this is the case. As you know, only the M7060 with the F12/R12 transmission has the parking pawl that is engaged via the gear shift lever. The F8/R8 transmission that comes in the M6060/7060 has a simple foot pedal brake along with mechanical brakes rather than hydraulic brakes. The most probable is from gear #70 on the bevel gear parts page; I believe that is the one the park pawl contacts.
Haven't torn into it yet. I probably won't until there's an issue with operation. What did you find out on this ?
The hydraulic oil was changed at 62 hours and it only had 432 hours on it when this hose busted and I replaced the hose and did a filter/fluid change.I would guess that the filters weren't changed at the recommended 500 hours based on your photos. I had an incident at about 60ish hours and the leak was fixed and the fluid/filters changed. This hose went at 432 hours and I lost most of the fluid so another fluid/filter change was done at 432 hours.By the way it's sitting in picture #2, it looks like it is" cut into" the gasket. It was on the magnet when I removed the filter. I manipulated it with my finger to see it from another angle.By the way it's sitting in picture #2, it looks like it is" cut into" the gasket. Is this the first change of that filter? Maybe it came to be there during factory assembly. Just sayin'
