I assume you are saying that because of the green gas handle. In some states the green handle represents ethanol, not diesel. In my state, green or yellow handles represent diesel fuel but I have been in states where the green handle represents ethanol. I once made the mistake of putting ethanol in my Jetta TDI just because I went to the pump with the green handle.

Green most of the time here for diesel. But occasionally yellow and black depending on the station
