Concentrated : $24/ gal
Premix: $21
Water: $1

2 gal of 50/50 from concentrate: $24.50
2 gal of 50/50 from premix: $42

Even driving my truck with the equipment trailer attached, I can go 75 miles on $20 in fuel.

Next time I need coolant I'll just pay you to deliver it and the water, LOL

This year coolant change service I'll likely just get the Kubota concentrate version of the Toyota "pink" premix. Prior to pink they had "red" available as either. But the pink superseded the red and became backward compatible (to a point), but is only available as premix. Though there is come concentrates available i.e. Zerex. But, I am an OEM kinda guy. And now honestly since I have 2 vehicles solely under dealer care (4.5 yo RAV4 hybrid and new 2024 BZ4X electric) I ain't gonna be touching those 2 :D

Curious, because I was looking last night. Pentosin has a pink and green that are phosphated with no silicate, borate or amine. What is the difference?

IDK honestly. Like I noted I am an OEM type of guy. I only used Toyota pink in mine because the dealership said it was what they recommended in the absence of OEM Kubota. And as noted I found it intriguing when I was last at the dealer and saw the OEM Kubota was also pink just like the Toyota stuff only they had it both ways. Premix and concentrate. So, I'll do a flush with distilled and my fill with concentrate and dilute it down to the 50/50 myself

Right o. I have a K dealer near by. Last time I did a coolant change I just used the orange juice. It's not that different in price. I was just curious.

Another reason I prefer buying OEM is it stops confusion like this note what both are called but the slight difference in formulation. Will the one case harm? IDK but, I don't want to find out!
Peak Original Equipment Asian Red/Pink Antifreeze and Coolant: 50/50 Ready To Use, 1 Gallon PARB53 - Advance Auto Parts

Peak OET Euro Pink 50/50 Antifreeze + Coolant, 1 Gallon PEPB53 - Advance Auto Parts

And then there is this Pentofrost product Pentosin Pentofrost 1.5 Liter Pink Concentrate Antifreeze 8114107 | O'Reilly Auto Parts but, again easily confused with Asian Pink. It's for German cars. Again. Cause harm? IDK.
But, I've not seen a Penta Asian product except their Asian Blue (Honda), and from what I am told the only difference between it and Toyota is the color. Again not something I care to discover on my own engines

“because the dealership said that is what they recommended”….can be problematical. The guy behind the counter’s recommendation can be just his own opinion…. not based upon mfr’r recommendations.

I ran into this at my Kubota dealership. (A large chain known as “Ewald Kubota”)
The counter-guy and his supervisor were both quite adamant that I should use an off-brand “universal tractor fluid” in my ‘96-era M4700DT. (They had a large stack of 5-gal pails in a nice display along the show-room wall.)

I wanted to use SUDT…. and I would have thought that more-expensive product would have met with their approval…. but No… They continued to push an aftermarket brand of UTF.
So I bought their UTF and brought it home planning to change the fluid when my new-to-me used Kubota came up to 600 hr service requirement.

Subsequently I read the Kubota Owners Manual for my tractor and discovered it stated that the Factory-Fill since New …was SUDT….

I took the UTF back to exchange for SUDT…and those guys Still Insisted that SUDT was “not necessary or recommended” in the warmer climates down here in Texas.

I told them….”I don’t care what You Guys Think My Tractor should have….. I WANT what the Factory put in it when it was Built!…. and that is SUDT.”
I paid the difference in price and installed SUDT.

Parts-counter and Service-guys SHOULD be properly-informed…but that’s no guarantee their personal opinions don’t get into the mix. Just sayin’…..

Very true.

My local Kubota dealer only sells a NAPA branded coolant that isn't an ELC or extended life coolant. Anyone walking into the dealership would naturally assume that the coolant meets Kubota's specs since it's being sold in a Kubota dealership, but as @TheOldHokie has said many times, it doesn't meet Kubota's recommended coolant type listed in the owner's manual for either of my tractors.

This is a good dealership but the person who orders the coolant might not know any better. This is the stuff that they sell.

When I did my coolant change I called my dealership and talked to a guy in service. He told me they use Zerex. The green stuff. That’s what I put in there a couple years ago and so far so good temp stays down and seems to be doing fine

Zerex G-05 Safe to use in my BX 25? I run it in 2 of my Dodge Cummins and a Hemi. I keep it on the shelf here.
