What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

We had a couple of inches of snow overnight, so enough to make it worth while blowing off the asphalt before driving over it with the Jeep. It was 10F this morning so nice to be in a warm cab listening to music while moving snow off the upper driveway, lower driveway and parking areas.

Cleared atleast an acre today, running out of room to stack trees/brush. Brush piles are the size of buses. And of course the hose protection didn't take long to get damaged.

Like @McMXi - - we've been getting a couple inches of snow regularly, but it's been mixed in with rain other days.....not good for a stone driveway and using a snowblower.

Ended up with an icy driveway.

Peeled some snow off yesterday. Then got some sand from local highway department sand pile.

Doesn't look pretty to some but looks great to me.....between some minor Lake Effect bands, we’re getting some sun today. That dark color absorbs heat well and makes it manageable ....

Have more rain/snow/freezing rain forecast for Thursday.....

More snow overnight and more than yesterday along with enough wind to cause drifting. The snow is powder dry and I was often lost in a mist, but warm in the cab. It was 1°F this morning as I was blowing snow and it feels cold for sure. I only had the tractor on the block heater for 1 hour and 15 minutes before starting it to warm up, but in less than 10 minutes running at 1,300 rpm the needle was up into the normal range. Two of the rear remotes took a while to work properly due to the temperature of the hydraulic oil.

I was hoping that I wouldn't run out of fuel before I was done, but managed to finish up before heading to town. Once I got back it had warmed up to a toasty 3°F and I decided to put some more Stanadyne and fuel into the MX. The cap that I modified is working well and holds the nozzle without putting as much strain on the plastic neck and threads. I had planned to connect the JohnDow pump to the MX battery but soon gave up on that idea. I have a battery on a maintainer in the garage so grabbed that which was much easier.

The Kubota gloves I was wearing didn't do much to help protect my fingers from the cold, so once I could no longer feel much of anything I figured it was time to get mittens from the house which are orders of magnitude warmer. Reminder to self ... wear the proper gloves.

Got enough snow yesterday to make it worthwhile to blow off the driveways, road in front of house, and a neighbors driveway. More due on Thursday, so trying to get a head start on the chores.

Its been cold and really cold here in the California of the east.
I'm really glad I've got lots of dry hardwood in a shed down back.
And for anyone who doesn't have a cab for winter. This is my second year with cab and heater. Today the wind was gusting 20 mph. In years past there's no way I'm going out in that wind. But now.
I use my tractor in any weather.
A cab would make a great valentines gift for that special someone.

There is a temporary lift on the burn ban til Feb 10th, you still got to call in and get permission etc.

Another 3" or more of powdery, blowing snow this afternoon/evening so I decided to go back out in the dark and play a little. When I was done I realized that I had the headlights on low beam rather than high.

We've had about a foot of snow. I started to plow with my Polaris Ranger, but that wasn't working well. The snow was too heavy and high. Sure, I could have with lots of passes.

Instead, I used my L2501HST with rear blade and bucket. With that much heavy snow it took a while. Of course, the chains on one wheel came loose on the last pass. I knew they were a bit loose. No damage, but just something to do tomorrow. I finished with the Polaris Ranger.

It's good to have a backup.

Everything I'm removing is invasive...over 100 years ago, this area was grasslands with scattered Live Oaks. Prior to ~ 1930's I have read this area was known for raising cotton and grazing cattle on beautiful and endless grass prairies far as the eye can see.

I've been working on cleaning up a several acres of the woods where they dumped all the tops at when it was timbered right before we bought it. Been a big job as I have hundreds of tops stacked on top of each other. The 2502 never fails to amaze me what it can lift and move. But I do have the hydraulics turned up quite a bit. The Homestead Implements Pinnacle grapple has withstood a lot of abuse itself. Been very happy with it.

90°F sounds nice right about now.

We had another 3" to 4" of snow overnight, 1°F temps and light snow at present so I'll be back out blowing and pushing snow this morning once the MX has been on the block heater for a couple of hours. But fear not, I won't keep posting more of the same déjà vu photos!

Looks like 6+ inches of snow coming tomorrow. It will be fun plowing real snow instead of the 3 inches that's right on the line of not worth plowing but its enough to be a nuisance.

I know I said that I wouldn't post more of the same photos, but it was so nice this morning with the sun shining and a toasty 5°F out. You can see how the snow builds up along that outer edge of the lower driveway so I'll run down with the M6060 and rear blade later today (currently on block heater) and try to push the snow over the edge without rolling the tractor!

Moved some more hay bales again at lunch today. What made it note worthy is that I moved two (3x3x8) bales (stacked) to get them out of her garage. I was able to lift them about 4-5" off the ground to back out of the garage (in 4x4). Any higher and the right rear wheel came off the ground with only a quick hitch and light weight rear blade on for ballast.

That's quite a bit of weight for a B2650 with heavy pallet forks to lift. I'll have to try it again some time with the hoe on the back. But I wouldn't want to do it routinely.

I fired up the M6060 this afternoon, headed down the lower driveway and attempted to push the snow over the edge. To be honest, it's not working quite the way I had hoped. I'm thinking about making up an extension of some sort to add to the left side of the rear blade to give me a couple feet more reach. I think that would do the trick.
