My sister works at Market basket in NH part time.
Today she sees a lady headed for for check out with...a cart full , 60 packages of Maple cookies !!!!!
The manger going by stops to talk to the lady. And the 'fear' of her cookies inflating in price drove her to stock pile.
My cart basically always looks like that tariff or not !!!

The maple cookies are most likely made in VT! Better stock up on toilet paper. I was watching the Tonight Show last night and heard that toilet paper is going to be in short supply. I know it is true because Johnny would never tell a lie!

N.Y,
Went to Costco today and cans of Tim Hortons coffee went up $2.00 this week. The price has doubled over the last year and no more Tim Hortons from Canada for us. I think companies use things like this to price gouge on items they already have in stock. The Costco brand at 8 bucks a can less isn't bad ☕.

ahhhh.......ok....... sure 2 Canadians started Tim Hortons but today almost 0 Canadian ownership. Its a Brazilian and American company. Bought out years and years ago.

Rest. Brands (Brazilian) is the owner of Tim Hortons and the biggest investor in them is is Capital World (which is American). gotta blame American investors or Brazilian owners me think.

So if price goes up we kinda have to blame either the Brazilians or Americans????

we Canadians shouldn't take the blame. Sure we drink the coffee, eat the bagel, give away the Tim Bits at work but to blame us is not fair.

Cheers!! ;)

I'm sure no tarrifs on that canned possum!!!No I'm wrong no other country would want that. That's probably the first tarriff imposed on the US. Lol.
I love Tim Hortons, but slowly here in Maine, one by one they closed , dunkin donuts put'um under. Way up north in Houlton is the closest one i think.
I live with someone who's family migrated are from Quebec. So when I saw Tim Hortons made a square donut. To me it made perfect sense !!!

Actually like I said, I think it was price gouging by Costco because no other brands went up. Companies panick and raise prices on stock they have. They never drop back down either.
You eat possums from a can up there 😲 I thought Poutaine was the worst thing north of the border but that possum has it topped 🫣.

We can't make you feel OLD, but the fact remains that you are OLD, REALLY VERY OLD, OLDER THAN DIRT!!! If you had a birthday cake with candles, you would have to invite the fire department to put out the blaze of candles!:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :giggle:

Nobody eats Possum up here. Only in the good old USA!

Creamed Possum is a Southern delight from the deep South where you had to eat what you could during the tough times. Our gag gift can of Creamed Possum pays tribute to that era, and all we can say is thank goodness we don't have to eat it anymore- even though it sounds darn tasty with garnished sweet p'taters and ramps. (greens) The Coon Fat gravy just puts this dish over the top! Note: gag gift only, contains composted organic material. Not edible.

If I can't get my poutine then I will lay waste to this planet and start a new society in another star system.

BX23S to perform all necessary terraforming. So long as the only terraforming required is cutting a lush lawn that is perfectly level.

Beyond that I'll probably need a JD.
