Got a little mud on the tire today bush hogging . Was really happy was scared it mite be to light and need filled tire and mite have wished I had cast centers . But I think I don't as of yet had it on the side of steep hwy right a way and it felt fine . And the muddy spot I bush hogged it wasn't to heavy to get stuck . Because I have been stuck it the spots way to may times to count With 2wd tractors. So really happy so far .

The problem was I knew nothing about cast centers tell after I bought it . But so far it's stable for the spots I have had it and there about the steepest I will put it on . And I don't want it super heavy for brush hogging since I always seem to find mud . So far happy .

We have tractors with cast centers and fluid filled, fluid filled and without anything. For bush hogging the air only tractors do fine, but try to pull with them and you will be wasting your time. I put fluid in all my new tractors and would have gotten cast centers on our M8540 if I hadn't needed it immediately. It woks fine just fluid filled, but there are time it could use a little more traction.

Looks like your wheels are set narrow, so you could always flip them for a wider stance if your brush hog would still cover it. If not, you could run the brush hog of-center so that one side covered.

Have you ever used a double spear before? I have been curious about one like that myself. I have never seen anyone around here with one so I have never been able to ask anybody how they did.

Works fine its all I have ever used . I don't like the singles because the bales can move around . And I never seen the little stabilizer spears ever live long .

Even my front spear is a double .

Thanks for the info. I may just have to build me a double for my loader and the one you bought looks good for the rear.

Ya mine for the loader is a land pride made them give it to me for free when I bought the tractor . Wouldn't have bought it if they would have thrown it in . The 3pt was cheap for me to buy it . But they work great .
Plus the double spear loader one I can grab to rolls at a time if I want also . I normal don't because I feel its over loading the tractor but did did try it and the tractor done it ok .
Plus I have been using the double spear in pallets . It's not idea in them but works .

Hadn't thought about using it for pallets but I like getting multi purpose use out of one implement. I've been wanting to build a spear for the loader. Right now I use the back plate for my forks and a homemade spear. It works fine but since I have a QA it's easier to just set one implement off and pick another one up. Thanks for the info. And I agree with you on the short spikes, they are a real PIA.

Play'n with the grapple today .
Going to have to shim the quick hitch part up on the grapple has some slack . And get the hoses where they stay out the way . But over all going to be fun use'n it .
