L2501 misfires almost dies when throttle opened up from idle

those are 'spring' clamps, and I use 'gear' clamps.
Given the vibration on a tractor, it's easy to understand that over time, spring clamps will move a bit, become less springy, 'magically' let air in
gear clamps, Snug, not TIGHT, keep the hose firmly against the spigots so far less chance of air getting in.

Yes that's the part.
I would pull it off the tractor and get it out where you can completely check it.

Check the inlet for debris.
Check the in and out fittings and the vent fitting for tightness in the housing.
Check the O-rings
Check the cases for any cracks.

I would pull it off the tractor and get it out where you can completely check it.

Check the inlet for debris.
Check the in and out fittings and the vent fitting for tightness in the housing.
Check the O-rings
Check the cases for any cracks.
