Was at my dealer yesterday picking up my RTV and snow blower and I asked them. This is in northern Ontario Canada.
They have heard nothing and she even got on computer right in front of me and checked all the corporate emails and announcements they get from Kubota and nothing.

Anyway they aren't concerned, they keep a good stock of everything.
Did she check to see if it was announced in FRENCH..?? LOLOL

(In Heaven…the French are the Chefs… In Hell they are the Administrators.) ;)

wonder how Sunbelt rental will handle the 'no parts problem' ??
or others who have millions invested in machines that could be USELESS when the 'part' can't be bought.

Makes me think that Kubota got suckered into moving their entire E-commerce system over to SAP. God help us if they did, worst software on the planet.

OMG it’s true! This explains the extended blackout. 4 weeks may be optimistic! Last time I checked, 7 of the top 10 ERP migration failures involved SAP. Including bankrupting a Canadian pharmaceutical company. I always said that if I was going to teach a course on how NOT to design software, I’d use SAP as a case study!

SAP aka Such A Pain...

I'm a firm believer in 'if it ain't broke, no need to fix'. heck heard that SW airlines still runs under Windows3.11. if true, I have 5 or 6 sealed boxes for them !!

Unless some ITer + bean counter can PROVE at least a 15% savings, AFTER implimentation, 'upgrade' should not be done. ALSO the IT guys forfeit their jobs when it FAILS....

The name is an initialism of the company’s original German name: Systemanalyse Programmentwicklung, which translates to System Analysis Program Development.
Enterprise Resource Management software.
They're a huge co. No idea why they're reviled. Probably too big for their boots, like Microsoft, and once locked into a huge system like MS's Windows even though now bad software they can't redo it without it breaking the company badly.

Not a dumb question at all. SAP is what’s called an Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP) software package. Its purpose is to help you run your business. It handles things like accounting, payroll, supply chain management, etc. SAP is written terribly and seems like a kludge of disjointed programs that were bandaided together. Plus the Germans suck at user interfaces, it is not user friendly. In my previous life , we foolishly transitioned to SAP and a 2 months schedule became 2 years. Functionality over our antiquated in-house system was reduced. As an interim over the 2 year transition period, we used Quickbooks Pro to run our operations, and it was night and day better than SAP. Just not easily scalable for large organizations. Our money would have been way better spent by paying Intuit to develop a “Quickbooks Enterprise Edition”.

I still haven't heard of anything going down in northern Ontario yet?

But I'm starting to get unimpressed with Kubota now anyway. Don't get me wrong, the products are good, but their service is as useless as everyone else now.
Dealing with Kubota Corporate right now. Bought a K-Connect and front snowblower for my RTV-X1100C. Dealer said manuals got destroyed. So my dealer gave me a PDF manual but it is only for the blower itself.
There is 3 manuals, one for blower, one for the power pack and one for the K-Connect. Well dealer said they don't exist.
So I contacted Kubota and even emailed them pictures of all 3 covers of the manuals that another owner of one sent me.
So they sent me the one for the blower.
I contacted again and reminded them that is the one I told them I had.
So then they said they don't make manuals any more but might have in their electronic archives. So after sending them actual pictures of the manuals FIVE TIMES they reply back again "just give us serial numbers and let us know what manuals you need." UNREAL

So now you sell me a $19,000 setup with no manuals, but according to THE MANUALS I the customer am responsible to check and change oils in 3 gear boxes and grease it, but now you can't tell me what oil it uses, capacity or location of grease fittings???
It's a good thing I'm mechanically inclined and figured it all out myself.
