The way to fix that type of leaking is to put a coffee can under each leak with a fishtank pump back to the hydraulic fill tube.

got the ring out, rebuild cylinder
So, disassemble & clean all parts, check bore for size & pitting, (and if within tolerance) hone bore, polish ram, replace wear ring, replace all seals & o-rings, replace spring key, lube all parts with clean hydraulic fluid, and reassemble, and pressure test.
Right?

remind yourself that these machines cost 20-25 thousand functioning properly for a reason, meaning

of course the tasks would take months and months and thousands of hour of all of your might

a good functioning loader with all the hydraulics properly functioning of this grade is probably around 6-7 thousand dollar

give you it a second to come together, dont think that you can seal of those leaks in a day

clean you it up with everything, seal you up all the areas there are seals, hammer on the top, seal it shut, put you a ring

exhausted from striking, come you up with better plan using whats laying around

I'm thinking: set it horizontal couple feet above ground, with one end up a against a tree, drive you pickup truck straight into it

another idea: bx1500 cannot move, but it can move its loader

set you up your cylinder upright, crush down on cylinder with bx1500 loader...

solved, I point to the part you hammer on to to close up the cylinder

You had the other end completely in, thinking it needed to go in further

your definitely slow for forgetting that but glad you got it closed up, install ring, get going on the last cylinder


show them some midday magic to bring the mood up of thread

tons of things done wrong in this clip: you come in too soon with the bronze, way more heat on the pin, aim the flame mostly at the center of pin, get the pin 4 times as hot as shown, do the weld with gravity pulling the molten toward where you want it, not angled, start the puddle on the pin, and melt it down to your other metal

you fixed the welds after this clip, they didn't hold, later in this post you see better weld

grind down with grinding wheel and drill bit, hit it with torch and diesel, sledgehammer

the magic you witness did not hold

you had to go back in there with big flame

understand you the nature of the weld, you have a massive pin and a small piece,

hit you that pin hard hard with big torch, then drop you bronze on the pin,

and once bronze stuck to pin, gravity molten brought it down and connected it to your smaller metal

after you lay bronze, get you comfortable, hit it dead center facing down the pin until you make big molten puddle

that thing will be hot for 40 minute after your done, its always the same issue, more heat on the bigger metal to get it to accept the molten...

make progress, hammer in your newly welded pins, put back your hardware, your weld holding

connect hydraulic lines, get to the last cylinder...

take off your last cylinder, do the weld on the pin that you grinded away, then

systemically take apart and reseal the cylinder remembering all the mistake from the other cylinders

If you're going to bring monetary value into this minimum wage is about $20 an hour most places. If you are in the trades it can be double that. With probably over 2k hours so far and hundreds of dollars in fittings, hoses, rtv, torch gas, diesel, paint, oil, and parts invested you could have had a shiny new machine that would last 20 years after taxes if you had found a job. One that could actually be used for future income without constant repairs. Time is money and also one of the most valuable things we have in life. Guess you just enjoy playing in the sandbox smoking fatties.

I have to wonder if this is a junk yard with that fence in the background, and these tractors were junked. Joe thinks he can bring them back to life, for future use or sale.
We have someone a few miles from where I live that has the same kind of fencing hiding something from code officer's view.

seal up your last cylinder, continue sealing hydraulic system

hit that pin real hard until red, come in with bronze, melt on the pin, it puddle down and encompass your other entity

hold the one side with pipe wrench, bend out the ring a bit, smack where I point with sledgehammer, it spin it out perfectly

separate your last cylinder using pickup truck and tree, chains on both side, zero striking, zero effort

30-40 minute hitting cylinder nut with torch/diesel/pipe wrench/air chisel/regular chisel and sledehammer, fully seized

sit you down defeated, come you up with better setup

fully defeated, you cannot stand, it won for now

what it need: something gripping it with big force, then you get a massive pipe wrench, the one I have not ideal, and get you major leverage with it smoldering hot

let it marinate, save you some energy for sealing:

leaks at the transmission both side of pump and transmission

leaks at the valve, take off all ines, label them, seal everything

and hit the other leak with big torch hard and make it molten until you are sure it is sealed

and seal you up all the line coming out of injection pump

surgical seal of both clapped out transmission connection, at the engine and transmission, transmission line connected

now: seal your FEL valve., all 6 lines completely and surgically, then seal your diesel lines from injection pump to injector

I had a post removed about halfway through this…expedition. I merely pointed out that this is entertainment and cringe worthy all at the same time. Seems I wasn’t alone in that observation.

all your fittings from your FEL, take them all out, glob it all in gasket, make them tight

there was nothing wrong with the fitting, you just didnt fasten it all the way

the diesel leak was so obvious, one of your injectors from all that pressure, come loose, you surgically seal it

seal your diesel line

decision: you were defeated by that last hydraulic cylinder, clean it, and glob gasket maker around the seals, and hope for the best

go ahead and reassemble your hydraulic cylinder, and your hydraulic robot should not produce bubble since you seal up all hydraulic route, and your engine should not sputter out since you solved the diesel leak

you should be able to carve earth today even if one of your hydraulic cylinder still leak a bit, the hydraulic system should not produce bubble and your robot should function fine

do you a hillbilly rebuild, glob gasket maker and hopefully the pressure pushes it into the leaking area

mistake, why you were not light on your feet:

all of those leaks could have been fixed in a day or less, you were heavy on your feet, striking away, not thinking

come you back to being light on your feet

brush everything with solvent, hit it hard with compress air, glob you on gasket maker everywhere there was leak, put extra hoping it pushes it and wedges it into the leaking area, hit it with torch to move the show faster

break your bx1500 front axle even more trying to push in your cylinder, push it up against a tree,

rig something up so it stay straight, calm you down and vow to never again try to rebuild cylinder without a press

defeated by the cylinder, install it back on, tigthen all fitting, put in your hardware for the pins

hillbilly pin, you cant find this cylinder pin, get you a long socket that fit snug, rig you something that will keep it steady

rig you up copper wire tight around socket pin, temporary

pump you up that diesel pressure without compression, heat you up glow plug, get her started,

time to see if the leaks are gone enough to make hydraulics somewhat function properly

I would guess that those 2 fittings are some kind of low pressure flare to flare or JIC to JIC 2 size couplings not the proper adapter for use on the valve body pressure in and return lines.

Just glad my surgeon used the right procedure and parts for my finger knuckle replacement operation last march and I didn't wake up in recovery with a mass of red silicone on my finger!
I think he avoided the hammer use too!
