What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You'll just have to get over it, your/our tractors have hydrostatic steering which means there's no mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels, it's done hydraulically. Modern tractors don't have power-assisted steering.

Even more maddening, the steering wheel isn't even constant. Turn the wheel all the way one direction and keep turning. You'll see the wheel keep turning slowly. The same thing happens a little under normal operation.

Edit to correct, the L2501 does not use hydrostatic steering.

Sorry, I was wrong. The L2501 uses power-assist steering, not hydrostatic.

First snowblowing of the season today. We got around 6 inches of heavy wet snow. The blower handled it well.
The only problem was a

Sorry for the continuation. Fat fingered submit. The only problem was after the first 10 minutes the snowblower did not want to raise. I believe I didn't have the couplers on tight. Once I disconnected and reconnected it raised very slowly and then went back to normal. Possibly got some air in the lines and then purged out. After that no problems.

Servicing the equipment, so it will be ready on Monday. Zerks, filters and checking fluids. Got one front hydraulic line on the MX that needs a bit of tightening. Another month without rain here. I have on the calendar, recorded a trace of rain earlier in the month and thats it. I wish the early morning sea fog would return. We have a few small chances of rain next week. Prayin 4 rain!

Filters Serviced at 10 Hours, Not 50hr.

Thanks for the heads up, point well taken—definitely wasn’t bragging about a big fat doe, just bragging on the orange tractor hydraulics making life easier without the skinning rack out at the cabin.

The trees and plants are already stressed, that amount of snow would just compound the drought problems here and kill off more trees/plants etc.

3 days of snow. Suppose to ease up this afternoon then a chance of showers next 3 days. Cleared twice with the tractor and one time I broke the tractor code and used my Toro blower for exercise. Took over 2 hours walking behind it but was such a nice afternoon for some exercise.

I had do do a double take on that one. It kinda looked like you'd made something to attach the chainsaw to the boom of the BH. I was thinking "that's a bit of overkill ...." until I zoomed in a bit. Gettin' old and blind sucks.

Sunday we worked on firewood. This is one of the biggest logs I have blocked up and split. The glove is just for size of the butt end of the log. I was only able to pick the log up by curling the grapple.

The pallet fork frame will also give you an idea how big the log was.
