Did you fabricate the mounts for the snow blade yourself? Do you have a closer picture?
It looks like it will do the job on some snow.
haha, 3rd year into this severe drought, and if 2025 repeats previous weather patters, no more livestock for me,
I'll convert everything over to wildlife.
I would have to look at the calendar notes to confurm, but I think we have received less than 2in of rain since July or late June!
Yes sir, we're slowly turning into a desert here. Very dusty here as well, all the filters have to be serviced every 10 hours as well with the grease zerk interval.
I would like to have this pasture/ or a few acres ready to plant some cereal rye. I can't disc it unless I know were going to get some rain/moisture. If I open the ground now, the soil will lose any moisture that's remotely left in it and lose surface sand/soil from wind erosion.

I like it.....matter of fact, I really like it !! Did you use a spray, brush, or roller?
Brush and I just dabbed it on, works better then brushing. I didn't take them off, paper and taped it.
Limit was 20 gallons, Circle K day, for 3 hours they lower the price by 25 cents, plus 10cents by using the free discount cards. They give out these discount cards on Circle K Days that offers 10cent off per gallon, card last for 3 months. We picked up 2 cards.
WOW - I just paid $4.59/gallon for diesel, even with your mentioned discounts, I would still be paying more than $4/gallon - and normal gas under $2/gallon!! I only use 93 octane (both my car and truck call for it), and I'm paying $4.79/gallon for that. Crazy!

Geez, I paid $4.39 for ethanol free today for my generator.
8 hours and 18 minutes run time since 3:30 AM. Restoration time TBD….
Quite a bit of heavy wet snow has caused about 30% of my county to be out of power.
Got to keep the Mrs. pies frozen…..
First time leaving the electric water heater on with this genny. Makes it snort a little when it heats, but seems to keep up with it. Tested it for a short time a while back.

That’d be great but it’s above freezing…..we’d have nothing more than a BIG F’n fruit salad with flour and shortening mixed in…..
She’s up to 93 pies now; same as last year.
All of them aren’t in that upright freezer but probably 60+ are.
She freezes them and sells them raw and frozen, or baked. She has a great system to bake them right out of the freezer. She gives her frozen customers directions to do that.
She’s self-taught after marrying a farm boy. Italians are not often known for pies…..
She’s gotten very good at it, enjoys making them and also likes the community projects she can help support.

PS - know you’ve been terribly dry.
We’ve been dry just lately.
I really wish I could have sent you this. Got about annch of rain yesterday followed by varying amounts of snow depending on elevation.
We were about 4” in valley. Hills got 9-10”.
Either way was probably almost another inch equivalent.
Fabricated it. I need to redesign it some, I have to make a hinge where it is welded to the plate. I can't float it, the arms are to heavy and it digs in even with the shoes on the plow. But it works great for piling snow, don't have to dump it like with a bucket.
I was curious about it floating like on a pick up truck. I saw another one that used the attachment pins for the bottom, and a chain for the top to allow it to float like on a truck.
You can still manually angle the blade?
My plan is to make it work like it would on a truck and I can manually angle it.
I made mine so the plow mounts like on a truck and floats with a chain. I set the push plate back under the SSQA plate to get the blade as close as possible to limit the side thrust when angled. More work and material but it works very good. Can even back drag with it.

Spent over 8 hours in the SVL today. My body, back and arms are killing me. The hydraulic joy sticks will wear you out. I swear I need to wear a mouth guard at times, when those trees pop out of the ground it jolts you around in that 10k machine. The ground is hard as rock, even though the top layer is dusty as a mofo. I tried to have the air bag seat at the best setting for the bouncing. I started the day off opening up a 40ft section, clearing a heavy thick line of trees and brush along the fence line between our existing place and the new place we bought over the summer. The camera is near the fence and facing towards the house & shop that we bought in June. Only 1000ft x 50ft wide more trees/brush along fence to go.... lol
99% of all those trees and brush is invasive species to Sourh Texas.
Most of the day I pulled up all the small trees in front new 10 acre pasture. That pasture hasn't had any attention in years.

Solid day of work right there. I hear ya on feeling a little beat up after some seat time. Let's be clear here, this is a first world problem to an extent as it is a heck of a lot easier than doing things by hand but even after a couple hours in the seat I will feel a little back fatigue, especially since most of my work is with the box to back blade and lots of looking over my right shoulder.Spent over 8 hours in the SVL today. I can't imagine pulling trees and shrubs for 8 hours.
I think my longest day in the seat was maybe 4-5 hrs.
