I heard about using a battery powered fuel pump to transfer diesel from a fuel container to the tractor fuel tank. Sign me up!

Any recommendations? Brands? Sources?

Thanks!

I've had a half dozen of these in the cheaper version and they all start to leak. Has this one held up?
For the past 2 (maybe 3) years. It's gone thru several batteries. Pumps about two GPM with a couple feet of lift.

I think you got a good one!

I just sorted the reviews by most recent and 4 out of the first 8 complained of leaking so I guess I will stick with the $15 ones. They last a while but all seem to start leaking at seam where the hose outlet is.

I saw these at the recent Equip Expo I went too:

This is the best version of this style I've seen. Nothing like the crappy metal chinesium ones sold everywhere,

I personally use the Flo-Fast system with the hand pump, so no batteries or electric to deal with. It works great.

I bought one from HF about 7 years ago.... has worked flawlessly.

I use it to draw off my garage heating oil tank... (off road diesel)
I just pull the tractor up / plug the pump into my battery tender pigtail off the tractor... and I'm in business.

best investment.
sure beats filling 5 gallon cans...

I don’t have the Amazon link, but this one has been good for a couple years.

Does almost 5 gpm as I recall. Just pumped out a 5 gallon can recently. Went pretty quick.

My wife bought me a "more expensive one - $85", and it has lasted for about 6 years and still works well - I bought one from HF and it lasted ................ about a year!

I have one like this I use on my storage tank. Works great! It started to leak once and was pretty easy to replace the seal in. Been in use about 8 years and maybe 4 since I resealed it. Probably about due again but I did put a nitrile seal in last time so it may last longer.

I have been buying the cheap HF pumps and some times they leak right off the bat at the hose connection to the pump. Pulling the black ring and hose off and applying a little bit of JB weld before reinstalling the hose and ring, makes a leak free pump.

Just bought a Vevor 12v tank and pump. 116gallon. Used a converter to utilize Dewalt 20v battery to 12v attached to the lid works terrific. Still maintaining the battery clip option.

Modified a steel pallet for more durable fork lift transportation. Didn’t spill a drop filling, transporting or filling tractors.

That's a nice looking setup. A lot of people bad mouth Vevor products but I have bought a couple of items from them that have been great both in performance and value. items I bought were through Walmart and Lowes rather than direct so I had some extra protection if it didn't work out as I wanted.

That's an awesome pallet system that you made there. Very well executed! (y)

I have two fuel containers similar to yours but made by a different company. The larger 106 gallon one lives in the back of the garage, and the smaller 58 gallon one lives in the bed of my truck. 5 gallons containers suck for sure! 😂

Some I did, not by forks, some other people donated. Truck has some scars like me. Better stories than tattoos. 28 year old farm truck.
Gives farm trucks character. Great job on that fueling station!

I purchased the HF fuel transfer pump that uses 2 D cell batteries. It works fantastic, and only cost about 10 dollars. I hate lifting that 5 gallon can. If you are younger I'm sure you don't mind it, but I'm 82 now and hate it.

Oh yeah, I'm way younger. I'm only 70 years old! Just kidding. At 70 juggling those 5 gallon cans are a real challenge. Thanks for the recommendation!
