I have a 2650 with cab and Argi tires. I have the front mount snowblower and plow attachments. Would a counterweight box filled with rocks or gravel be better than chains? Thank you

I have an older Kubota counterweight box that says the BX should have 300# in it. I snowblow with over 600# and turf tires and have never encountered a problem with either my BX22 or BX23S machines. I would never use chains because of the bumpy ride unless working on a gravel driveway. My driveway is very long and paved. I suggest that you consider retiring your Ag tires for the winter and use turfs.

My driveway is stone and can get icey. I can’t scrape it clean until a base is built up.
No amount of weight will provide the traction I need without chains.
It’s situational for each application. Hard to predict if weight on the 3PH would work for you.
You say your tires are "Agri," are they truly R1 (Ag) tires, or maybe R4? Are they tall and narrow with bar treads (R1), or shorter and wide with bars (R4)?
Do you get a lot of snow where you're at?
Is your driveway paved or gravel/stone?
How long or wide?
Do you intend to use the blower or blade?
This was a 3-foot snowstorm years ago.

There is no yes or no answer to your question. Either will help.
You certainly need weight on the three point in order to counterbalance the front mounted snowblower.
Tire chains will help with traction much more than added weight, especially on ice.
In my opinion, you need both, especially if you need to remove snow in icy conditions and/or on slopes.
Agree with Dusty regarding tires. Turf tires are better in snow than AG tires, industrial tires or R14T tires, but turf tires alone will not be enough. You will still need counterweight and chains for serious snow removal.
